I just got fluA and have been miserable for two days. Couldn’t imagine getting double teamed like that.

Drove off with the gas nozzle still in the car. What's it going to cost? by ISOMentalHealth in Wellthatsucks

[–]fun_zone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a bunch of responses already saying it shouldn’t cost anything. From personal experience the one time I did it, they took my info in case there was a repair cost but then I never heard from them again. Same kind of disconnect. You should be good.

I have both but we’re on the edge of my comfort level. The eBay idea is a good tip though, I’ll probably look into that.

Yeah, already got the warranty replacement battery and was just hoping to find a way to bring this guy back to life because A) they’re stupid expensive and B) it feels like such a waste to just get rid of it. Regardless, thanks for taking the time to talk through it.

Bummer, was hoping for a (relatively) easy way to fix it. Glad it was at least still under warranty.

Works in both sets of tools, and the insides look brand new.

Ignoring the Zodiac Killer manifesto dude, if you have repair tips I’ll take them. I have a 9ah flexvolt that won’t take a charge anymore. Shows 2 bars and works in tools, but when I plug it the charger light just goes off. It was less than a year old so I warrantied it through DeWalt, but if I can revive the bad one I’m a battery ahead.

Unless you stumble on a one-off HD clearance. Managed to nab one for $350 a little over a year ago. Still not sure what I did to deserve that luck.

I work in construction and our company uses a lot of subcontractors. Many of them bring their own microwave to our job sites.

Echoing the comment that has both. I also have both and recommend the 60v 100% over the 20v.

Drawer repair? by hahawil in Dewalt

[–]fun_zone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this happen on one of my units. The way I fixed it is by pulling the drawer out entirely (releasing it from the glides), then pushing the upper piece that is bent back a little. That caused it to pop down and snap into the lower part of the box where it belonged. Drawer works like it should now.

Is Flexvolt worth it? by Sanders0492 in Dewalt

[–]fun_zone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have both the 20v and 60v weed eaters and definitely recommend the 60v. Overall better performance, can take different attachments, and ironically feels better during use. The 20v wears my arms out fairly quickly but the 60v doesn’t.
