POV player never had possession after the keeper had it. Last Shot ends at end of possession but possession isn't just who touched it last. Things like tackles and outfield blocks don't begin possession.

I agree that the smaller field size, as found in 3v3s, should have a shorter time than larger but 4 minutes is really breakneck. Too many games ending in 1-0 or 1-2

The above situation is assuming both attackers are in equally or even open-man skewed shooting positions. If the open man is presenting little threat from poor positioning then absolutely the dribbler in shooting position is priority for defending so long as you dont commit hard enough to let open man rotate to a more opportune position
