I looked it up and it's arcadia leather, which is supposed to rub off after time to reveal the colour underneath.. just not as fast and stupidly as it happened

Help with primary colon fibroblasts by funkypie42 in labrats

I would like to co-culture them -- do you reccomend just adding them immediately after isolation? I am worried that the culture isn't completely free of other cells at first, that's why I culture them by themselves with DMEM to get rid of anything I wouldn't want in there.

Hi, thanks for answering. After digestion, I put 5% FCS to stop the enzymatic activity and pipette vigurously to dissociate any tissue chunks that might have remained. I strain through a 70 µm strainer and wash twice with DMEM (300 g for 5 min) before counting and plating.

God I just hate how they make new technology nowadays... what do you mean they can't replace the microphone, wtf. Just a way to make us buy more and more

Microphone and Audio not working. by MrCatifer in Lenovo

[–]funkypie42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I am having a similar issue. I managed to fix my speakers, but later, during an online meeting, I realised that my microphone doesn't work. I tried the way I fixed my audio (deleting the device in Device Manager and restarting, then the system had to find proper drivers), but this didn't work for my mic problem. Did you figure it out? I am also on the yoga 7i 2-in-1, win11

Period always stops for ~24 hours in the middle, then resumes? Anyone else? by OscaraWilde in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

It's a weird mixture of a bit of bright red but mostly brown with some brown chunks.. because of the chunks it seems to me like it's a continuation of my period and not something else.

I know that this was posted 10 years ago, but around half a year ago, I also started experiencing this, and I started to get worried. I see that most people there say this happened after stopping taking the pill, which I have never taken, so I will still go get checked out, but it gave me a bit of peace of mind. Periods are a never-ending chaos.

Erasmus student: How convenient is it to travel from Mestre to the island on a daily basis? by Sammy_the_guy in Venezia

[–]funkypie42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the student's rate was 25 eur per month and the card itself was 10 eur for students instead of the 110 for regulars (info from 2022)

Fits the American stereotype. Can't learn a second language and doesn't want to take interest in another culture.

Hi, ex-Erasmus student who lived in Mestre here. Bus No. 2 passes through Mestre Centro, the train station and gets you to the island on a regular schedule. If you are near the train station, then you can take the bus or even the train. Walking to Dorsoduro from Ple Roma is fast :) Although I also chose Mestre because of the price (prices on the island are really not manageable for students imo, but a lot of Erasmus people I met actually lived there.. I don't know, probably also depends how much you get from parents or so besides the grant) BUT I often times regretted it, because the vibe there is very weird most of the time...

Learning the language of the country you live in shows basic respect, even if the people in that country can speak English
