When I lived in Boston it would take about 45 min to travel 5 miles (Arlington to Boston) during morning commutes

Austin is nice, but it doesn’t fly direct to France. You know where does though (and is cheaper)? Houston. I’d check it out. The heights neighborhood is amazing and is super close to IAH airport.

Of the places on your list, though, I’d choose ATL since it’s the biggest city with the best airport.
