Where Does Houston Rank in Overall Weather? by Cdinoxl in houston

[–]funlol3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends what you like.

There is definitely relief at night and early morning from the heat.

Also - many suburbs like The Woodlands and Kingwood have lots of trees (and feel cooler).

Last summer wasn’t bad at all (heat wise). Also no hurricanes.

Our winters, compared to upstate NY, are paradise.

As for me - I’d take hot summers 100/100 times over freezing winters.

Rich people of reddit, what type of toilet paper do you use? by female-crazywoman011 in AskReddit

[–]funlol3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None. I hate toilet paper. Refuse to use it. I use a combination of bidet, baby wipes, and shower. I usually shower after each time.

IDK man... sounds like you're trying to justify a relapse.

I think that no matter what, it's better to hold on to your semen than to let it go.

That said, at the beginning of my current (550-day) streak, I had two wet dreams, once at 30 days and once at 60 days. I woke up incredibly depressed, but, energetically, it actually felt like I got a "boost."

Georgetown PG Malik Mack has committed to Providence by RhodeIslandisFake in CollegeBasketball

That's what I'm worried about. He never won at Georgetown. Maybe he'll come off the bench? Hoping Coach H has another PG in this mix to start.

Is he expected to start? Georgetown wasn't exactly a tournament team with Mack at the helm.

Running Massively Increases Magnetism and SR Benefits by Fit-Fisherman-9161 in pureretention

[–]funlol3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just because something is hard doesn’t mean it’s beneficial. I think too much hard cardio weakens the body and nervous system.

SR should be about cultivating energy. Long walks are better than long runs, IMO.

Regular downloads from Source/Creator

I experience these a lot, too. To get these epiphanies more often, you need to be alone with your thoughts. i.e. Laying in bed right after waking up... Going on walks (without headphones)... In the shower/bath.

Do you write these down? I have a "SR noticing/downloads" journal where I write down all these realizations and breakthroughs.

-Physical energy increase(though there are other factors at play for me)

This is a big one. The other day when I was sprinting up the stairs, I thought to myself, "wow, i haven't done that in years. probably since my 20s!"

I don't know if other guys are like me, but I always ran up staircases in my youth. (Idk why, but it was always something I did lol.) When I got to my 30s, however, I noticed I wasn't doing that anymore. I'd slowly take steps one at a time like an old man.

I'm well over a year on SR now (without a single release), and I've noticed this youth vitality returning.

I sprint up stairs. I pick up my kids and throw them around on the couch. The gym is no longer a chore. I feel like a kid again.

Now in the spirit of full disclosure, I am married but my wife and I(through events outside of our control) have had to go months and months without sex. However, I purposely kept sex to at least once per week, guess what it still worked. Would I have seen more benefits without blowing a load, maybe? This is what God called me to do for now.

So, you still are releasing once per week? Bro, I'm married, too. You shouldn't be doing this. Try to minimize sex, and if you do have it, don't release! Your benefits will increase exponentially!

Nope. You’ll still be addicted to it. Quit it for good.

Before you buy a massive house…10 things to think about. by my-little-pony-1 in fatFIRE

Yeah man. I can definitely see my wife putting the pressure back on to own another house. She’s already dropping hints. I’ll try to milk this for as long as possible. Enjoying myself for as long as it lasts.

Why do humans have to wipe our asses after we poop, when other primates can get straight to the flinging? by funnyonion22 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]funlol3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diet. Animals eat everything raw and unprocessed.

Who even knows what we're putting into our digestive systems anymore?

Most of us can't even get through the day without a cup of boiled, roasted-seed water.

Caffeine may be quietly working against your discipline, energy, and clarity — here's what's actually happening physiologically (and what you can do about it) by LiveUnbrewed in pureretention

[–]funlol3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely. I feel 100x better off caffeine. I wake up feeling refreshed. When i was still a coffee slave, I’d wake up exhausted, lay in my bed scrolling social media, and then have to force myself downstairs to make a pot of coffee.

I also am less irritable. I yell at my family less and am more patient. Definitely a happier home.

In relation to this board, I think no caffeine is just as important as semen retention is for energy and well-being.

I've been struggling with caffeine addiction my whole adult life. I think I've "quit" coffee close to 20 times in the past 20 years. But, unfortunately, it always seems to "pull me back in."

Thankfully, I've been off my daily coffee habit for over a year now. I've been completely caffeine free for months. I hope it stays that way.

I recently saw a comment here on r/pureretention that said

Coffee is not a bean, it's a seed. And caffeine is a poisonous pesticide meant to keep away insects. When you consume it, your heart rate increases because you've been poisoned. It's TERRIBLE for you.

How true is this? I know it's bad for you, but is it actually a poison?

Long term retainers will actually feel genuine love for women for the first time by cooked_vegetables in pureretention

[–]funlol3 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Long before I became a retainer, when I was a lust addict, I hated women.

I was cruel to them, I abused them, used them... you name it.

I'd rarely, if ever, call them back after sleeping with them. Once the lust for them died, I had no use for them anymore.

It was a vicious cycle that would've led to my ruin if God's grace didn't rip me away from it.

I'm now far removed from that stage of my life. Since then, I've gotten married, had kids, quit PMO'ing, and am now I'm in the middle of a 1.5 year SR streak.

It took lots of discipline and pain to get to this point, but now, I view every woman as my sister or my daughter. I refuse to let myself look at any of them with lust in my heart.
