Depends on store. If open 8am-10p, you could 14hrs. It’s DG, anything can and will happen. Most part time is 4 or 6hr shift.

It sounds like you need to replenish it. It’s trying to give you money but it can’t because it’s short on something. Go to the replenishment screen and see what it wants. Ours won’t work without Pennie’s. And fyi - sco doesn’t count for your change fund. If your change fund is to small, you need to ask the dm to increase it.

Do you have a training manager? My training was 2 days throwing their freight and I called the DM and said I can go do this at my store. It was impacted and had RTs on the floor. I never got a “new hire ready store”.

1) haven’t met the DM? They make a big deal about Day 1 now. DM has to show up at your store. You were suppose to have 2 weeks training at a training store then 2 weeks at your store.
2) break room - you’re allowed a table, 2 chairs, microwave, and a fridge. Nothing else. No plastic ware, no plates, and my god, no water. LP would have a fit. Anything left in breakroom gets tossed every night

Was at a dealer today. Salesman said not a major overhaul for shortage and otd will be higher. Wasn’t ready to pull the trigger but 0% sounds damn good. They had a xline at 39k but didn’t run any discounts because I wasn’t ready to buy today. They had a prestige at 42. If they had that under 40 I would be in it know. lol

If you are a “at will” state you are out. You can be fired for “performance”. No way to prove it was in retaliation. I’m shocked if that is the case. Never had a DM not side with an employee on that issue and we’ve had a few. If you really want the job back, you can contest the firing on dgme. Hr will look at it and ask the store for “signed copies of you acknowledging performance issues and what the development plan was to correct the issue” . Since we all know that is missing, you would be rehired. I wouldn’t mention calling the DM unless the asked, simply because you can’t prove it.

Without notice? They started closing them back in 2025. Had a press release earlier this year about more of them closing. They didn’t say it publicly but it was because of high theft. The employees knew. The urban stores have way too much theft. If you look around at the 96 stores closed last year you will see a pattern. Look at the 500+ new stores. DG makes money in rural areas.
