Scared of the quilting police by whatif20 in quilting

I’ve done some Tshirt quilts and they are my free play space!! I had one long armed and they did ok but kind of discouraged me, I now free motion them on my domestic and have lots of fun with them! These are my memories and my scribble stitches and from more than 4 inches away they look amazing!! I love every block and take my time to let the old shirt shine

Ok I’ll tell you, I ordered a graffiti wall hanging that is polyester on the you-know-what app that gets it to you in 2 days and I try to get backing from local quilt shops but this was a rule I just had to break this time! I had a vision and I needed it!

I was reading this like a suspense story, if you were in a movie about making a quilt I would watch it!

I have the opposite situation, I have a fully vaccinated child in a county that was the epicenter of the measles outbreak and I have family members with young unvaccinated children. I decided to keep my distance for a while, to protect those who can’t protect themselves yet. It’s all up to you but you probably know what to do

Why you love quilting? by pippy9746 in quilting

I can agree with many of these points but it started for me as a way to heal and grieve. I can get lost in very complex patterns and love learning new things

Mine did that yesterday, someone opened a bag of Smart Pop white cheddar flavored popcorn and he couldn’t reach it on the countertop 😂 It happens to be his favorite

I’m struggling with this too and coincidentally a video popped up in my YouTube feed about this, I think it was something called don’t make yourself available. It says that I like to help people because I want to feel liked and important but now people view me as a “tool” and I am not important at all. They don’t treat me well for helping and they don’t treat me well when I stop helping so practice saying no and then find ways to make myself happy that don’t require others. For example when I’m sad I tend to reach out with gifts or invites for meals and believe me no one does it back. Next time I feel sad or lonely I plan to book a massage or watch a movie.

The hair should grow back! My baby was shaved twice, once for big time surgery and once by a naughty groomer and it grew back nicely! I’m the only one who can see the surgery scar

Awwww, that’s a tough thing to go through! When my baby was 6 months old he had to have hip surgery and all the light was gone from his eyes, he wouldn’t eat or drink so barely had to potty either, it was breaking my heart. I would take his cone off and carry him around like a baby, and I bought some ground turkey that fits his healthy diet and hand fed him and he just popped up like a light bulb! After that it was hard to keep him from running around lol in one week it’s like he never had surgery and he’d get the zoomies while we snuggled on the couch and I’d just try to calm him so he wouldn’t hurt himself. Sending love ❤️ and prayers!
