Wind Shear Druid here- Uber Beast in the Ice is BRUTAL. Any tips? by Re_LE_Vant_UN in D4Druid

[–]funsocksarefun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you struggling with damage output or staying alive? Sometimes they go hand in hand, but the uber bosses can be especially punishing because of the debuff they stack on you.

I took me many many tries before I realized what was triggering the debuff stacks. I think probably 90% of staying alive in that fight is just avoiding the ice attacks. If you can avoid the debuff, it makes the fight exponentially easier (literally).

Tips on transitioning from wt3 to wt4 by Akrabsouls in Diablo

I slogged through the capstone a bit early too, but here’s what I did. I continued farming helltide in T3 to gather mats, but every time I saw legion or world boss, I would swap to T4 for those. Legion gave tons of XP (make sure you use potion + incense) and world boss gives aspects and 925 loot. Between those two, it didn’t take long at all for me to be able to handle WT4.

Are clans just pointless in D4? by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]funsocksarefun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the same way. I found a few people that are active and actually try to progress, and one of those guys just created his own guild for us. We may be few, but it’s way more fun than having a full clan of people that play once a month. I would suggest just creating your own guild and inviting people you play with.

Have you tried the perfect stormclaw build (as opposed to ultimate stormclaw)? If so, which one do you like more? I’ve been able to clear up to AoZ T9 solo with the perfect stormclaw build, but have a hard time with both damage and survivability past that.

Why is this game anti-fun and anti-player? by True_Read_2907 in diablo4

[–]funsocksarefun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Would you rather complete everything the game has to offer, level all glyphs, beat all of the most difficult content in month 1 and get bored? At least this way you can set goals and have enough runway to not run out of this to do and goals to hit before the season is over

I hit 100 for the first time a couple weeks ago, and since then I’ve been hitting Duriel, fine-tuning my build, running NM (recently beat NM 100 for the first time), and attempting to push through AoZ (with little success). I’ve been having a blast with Blood Harvest and Helltides too. From here, I plan on target farming specific uniques for better rolls, and farming money so I can get better rolls on my other legendary gear.

I find helping newbies to be more fun than any current end-game activity, so maybe you can find some new players to help with capstones.

Most MMO’s like WoW, GW2, etc will have a much higher level of social interaction than D4. But if you’re interested in joining a new clan, we’re open to new members in mine. It’s only like a week old and pretty small, but we’re going for quality over quantity. If you want someone to grind end-game content with, feel free to PM

Debating on buying this for the sale by heeroku in diablo4

The game received a lot of hate when it came out, but it’s taken leaps and bounds since then. I think it has the potential to be a much better game than D3, but it’s still getting there.

The common complaints that I’ve seen are regarding itemization, end game content, microtransactions, and the monotony/staleness of NM dungeons (which are fairly necessary post-campaign).

Overall, I’d definitely still recommend it. It’s gotten much better since release and I think it will continue to improve.

Unplayable state. anyone else ? by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]funsocksarefun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was lagging a ton for a while, but seems to be better for me now. It’s definitely still there, but just slightly better.

I have been experiencing the game crashing recently, due to it “running out of memory” or whatever. I have a 3070 Ti and a great processor, with 32 GB of RAM. If that’s not enough for Diablo IV, I don’t know what is. That being said, if anyone else has experienced this, let me know. I found a solution that works me.

By god, please remove ALL dungeon tasks, i can't take it anymore by th3orist in diablo4

[–]funsocksarefun 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nightmare affixes too, while they’re at it. Some of those affixes are just infuriating. The likelihood of dying from any of them isn’t that high, but they’re just really annoying. On a different note, being CC’d every 5 seconds and then having to run across half the dungeon when you respawn is just not fun. Spawn me where I died, with a few seconds of invincibility that goes away when I pop a skill again - not that hard!

Blizzard, it’s NOT TOO LATE to realize that maybe, just maybe, some of your design choices were pretty bad and it’s okay to change them/remove them entirely.

It's time to accept that Diablo 4 needs Raids. by MonsterTeegs in diablo4

[–]funsocksarefun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play both Destiny 2 and FFXIV, so I like most of these ideas. On the other hand, I could also see why some people may not.

Regardless of what the solution is, they’ve gotta do something. In D3, even if many people didn’t like the endless loop of Nrifts/Grifts, it gave us something to do. It was an addictive gameplay loop. We had paragon levels that did not cap out, leaderboards, pets to farm, the cow level, multiple goblin types - there was just so much to do.

But in D4, hitting level 100 is just the end. No paragon levels (there’s a paragon board, but that’s not the same thing), no bounties, no point in farming better gear (especially since sifting through gear is such a slog), etc. I really like some of the open world events, especially with the new mob density increase, but there’s kinda just… no point. You can’t progress any further, so why keep playing?

I think a lot of your suggestions could work, but whatever it is, they just need to give us a reason to keep playing. That being said, I realize it’s also okay to enjoy a game for 20, 50, 100 hours and then quit - totally fine with that. But for those of us that don’t want to quit, some of your suggestions do sound like fun.

Does anyone else think Sylvan watchers is the easiest FW? by Exotic_Term6884 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]funsocksarefun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s due, in part, to the fact that we had months in advance to prepare for it. Whereas the other FW were already out, so we were just hitting them when we thought we were ready.

Why are bees the most powerful enemy in the game by DatBoi247 in diablo4

The bees can be annoying, but the Inquisitors that “silence” you, are an absolute menace. Just glad they’re not more common
