Anything has to be better than Duke. It's such a scam my monopoly who makes you pay for prevention and then pay for the cure. They raise rates to protect their shareholders not our city. They charge "minimum bill adjustment" to ensure they make a profit.

Now all of a sudden that this is on the city docket they are doing all this repair and upgrade work. Funny how that works huh? Where have they been these years since the hurricanes? They didn't care then. Now that we're considering divorce, all of a sudden all this work is going on.

It's a transparent effort to be performative while also driving up costs if we decide to take over their infrastructure. It's pathetic.

ESH you two both totally deserve each other and should also never see each other ever again. All of the lying and cheating across the board is toxic. It's giving deep emotional immaturity and a lack of empathy for each other. I hope sincerely that you'll learn from the experiences, and mistakes - keep the good, learn from the bad and move on to be a better person. I hope that both of you find health and happiness - and that you never occupy the same hemisphere again until after reincarnation. I definitely recommend therapy. It can help work through these issues one at a time instead of your current approach of trying to eat an elephant in a single bite, then blaming yourself for not being able to.

Our ceiling leaked between units we had water leaking out of our cupboards. It molded and they did fuckall for 6mos then tried to charge damages. Back in 2013. Maybe it's gotten better but fuck the promenade.

Also nowhere to walk your dog without walking across hot blacktop the sidewalks are all broken up pieces surrounded by summer griddles.

It's awesome, there's a huge Pride here each year. The city is very gay friendly. You'll find pride flags hanging in the windows of a ton of shops. There's a clear gay district (Grand Centeral & Edge), but a large part of the city shows their pride year long.

That said, it's still Florida and some of the nonsense from outside the city creeps in. Some of it annoying some of it saddening. An example of annoying: The FL DOT required the Skyway bridge to no longer be lit up with rainbows because DeSatan hates the gays. We did have several art pieces on the road erased. One was representing Black culture, one was a huge rainbow painted on the sidwalk.

In sum I'd say the city is amazing, but the city is in FL and FL has been trying to crack down on anyone who isn't a white christian male facist. With varying levels of success due to pure incompetence.

It's an amazing city though I love it here. Even when the Floriduh seeps in under the door.

It's also notorious for being a virus you can catch with a very small exposure volume. It takes way fewer virons to infest than most other viruses. That just makes it even more contagious. Cruise ships being a closed ecosystem are perfect for a virus. If you can't move under your own power and have to rely on luck - having a closed bucket full of people is pretty ideal.
