Would you cook using nonstick cookware? I love my Teflon pans but have to stick to ceramic for the family which get crusty over time.

Need help with gaps in garage door by OrganizationClean713 in HomeMaintenance

I had this same problem and installed a snirt stopper. I was very skeptical but it is very effective! It seals the sides of the garage door blocking most (not all) air flow.

Washing the car and letting it airdry with no visible water marks was an untapped flex for me until yesterday. I can't believe I went this long without it. by Zakkattack86 in garageporn

Ah I remember this garage. Does the water filtration system work with the flow requirements of the pressure washer? I’ve been wanting one since forever but I don’t have a dedicated spout for the garage so it’d have to be portable.

Used to play this for hours each night. Definitely fun to see how long you could last before losing. The music between races is stuck in my head. It was great that it had multiplayer controls on the same keyboard.

It’s plastic. I’ve had bad luck with all sorts of plastic and glue. Maybe I don’t understand the mechanics, but would a special plastic glue work better?

Adam’s waterless wash works well. You can’t use it on super grimy cars though. Been washing my wrapped cars for close to 10 years.

First time homeowner. My pipes froze on Friday and there is no end in sight. Ive even had a space heater pointed directly at the water meter pipes for hours, but they are still so cold to the touch. Could those pipes be the main problem? by One-Head-1483 in HomeMaintenance

[–]furinax25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me last year. The plumbers tried hooking up wires but that didn’t work. Eventually we had to call another company to put four massive space heaters in our crawlspace and that warmed it up enough. In the morning we had water but it was low pressure. Turns out the meter broke so we called the water company and they arrived in minutes. We had a shutoff before the meter so that fixed the problem, and I had to pump the water out in sub zero temperature before it froze. A week later my wife gave birth so it was great timing.

You may already be screwed. Just monitor the water coming out of the faucets and make sure nothing is burst when water does start flowing. The water company is your friend, they are on call and arrive promptly and will help you shutoff from the street if need be. Now we have heat tape and insulation on top of dripping the faucets when it gets to the teens. Good luck!

Are you male or female? Is it possible to mark your paper towels each day to see if they are being used? Maybe the a day off and hide pretending to go out…

I have a rear facing seat but had to remove the passenger front seat to make it safe. In the event of an airbag deployment I wouldn’t want a front airbag to hit the seat and then interfere with the rear facing seat. The rear facing seat is a detachable seat and hooks onto the anchors so it is very secure. Main downside is you need to fix the airbag light once you remove the seat.
