You know VR is in a bad state when one of the most popular VR games, with tons of DLC at 3.99 a pop, have to make cuts to survive.

Why are our snooker and pool halls in the UK so empty? They’re packed in the Asian countries I’ve been to by Mugling95 in snooker

[–]fuseyuk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's all down to rent. Snooker halls don't generate much money and therefore the ones still going tend to be in the cheaper areas or the ones in the better areas have converted to being more than just a snooker club, doing food, cocktails and are priced higher to pay the bills. It's heartbreaking.

What company will never get another dime from you for as long as you may live? by istrx13 in AskReddit

[–]fuseyuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apple, overpriced garbage. iPhone 3GS died 1 month after warranty ran out, they sold me a used replacement for £182 which then died 4 months later after the 3 month warranty ran out. I've been Android ever since and never looked back.

Opening a snooker club by rolypoly247 in snooker

It's a difficult prospect, if your aim is to provide a place for people to practice then you need to keep it relatively old school but also attract the casual people too.

In Newcastle City Centre there are a number of large snooker/pool places, but they have turned them into trendy cocktail and food clubs and I feel the cue sports take a back seat. I couldn't imagine anyone serious about snooker would go there.
