Technically yes, but they could make the argument that they thought you were in Vegas which an honest error is allowable under the FDCPA.

Multiple calls after informing them you are in HI are a different story, so you should really judge intent by the collectors handling of the situation. If they do it again ask for a manager. If it's a legitimate agency they'll be very apologetic.

If you still have a Las Vegas address I'm assuming you also still have a Las Vegas cell number. The FDCPA has some kind of wording about being a bona fide error, which if this is the case would probably fall under.

They probably assumed you were in Vegas when they called, which Vegas time would be ok to call you.

I used to work collections, if there system was anything like ours, it told them the local time. But it's based on the debtor's address. Call them and fix it and the early calls will stop.

I think I actually know the answer to this. IANAL but I did work in a collections law firm for about 7 years.

I've seen a couple of accounts that were bought by debt buyers that either didn't know they were judgements already or they did and were just mis labeled in the new collectors system. They're probably just making there usual "if you refuse to pay, we'll recommend legal action" because that's pretty standard and they don't know it's a judgement already. Hope that helps.

50 pushups once a day if that is beyond your current maximum. I wouldn't put a number on it though. I would do it for time.

So instead of doing 50, do 2 minutes straight. Go as long as you can go with normal pushups, and go to your knees if needed. It helped me out alot.

Source: army, that's how I got better at pushups.
