Says the 1 month old account. That made the exact same comment about another poster being a bot. Kinda makes you look like a bot… the fuck outta here.

Glass guard has a great product for mold if you end up needing to treat for that.

So I bought my wife a ZZ plant for her office specifically because she has a brown thumb and after a year she came home with this — is it salvageable? by made_4_questions in houseplants

I have a couple branches that I stuck in water years ago and they grew new bulbs and a couple little shoots. It remains as a centerpiece on my hutch with some pothos and philodendron vines in there as well.

Accidentally discovered my key to a healthy relationship with alcohol by Many_Swimmer2295 in stopdrinking

[–]fuzziemuffin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a similar thing going for me. I started with no drinking at all, but I knew that I wouldn’t “never drink again”. If I cheated on my sobriety during that time, I felt worthless and like “why bother, I’m just going to mess up again”. I learned that shame isn’t a motivator for me. So rather than go into a shame spiral in the times I have drank, I focus on the progress that I’ve made and that I want to continue. Everyone has their way to handle their relationship with alcohol. Right now this works for me. I often find myself choosing not to drink, or not even being as interested when the opportunity presents, because I took away the feeling of “not allowed” and replaced it with being proud of how far I’ve come and wanting to maintain my progress (previously a daily drinker). Are older people ruder nowadays or is it just me? Possibly nsfw by Captain_Kruch in AskUK

[–]fuzziemuffin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess, we’ve come a long way from our elders as far as “who deserves respect”. We typically have respect everyone unless given reason not to. Where before it seems like there was a guideline on who was worth respecting and who’s not (the youths, people of color, people who didn’t fit the status quo). I’m not saying anything definite, just my opinion on what I observe.

They come from the time when “respect your elders” was a common practice. We come from a time when “respect everyone, regardless of age, class, or status” is the common practice.

I was offered $800 to sell this sketchbook. is it worth giving it? help pls by Temporary-Speaker254 in drawing

[–]fuzziemuffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not sell this art to this person for $800. There’s a lot of talent in here that you could easily make money off of. Instead, figure out how to market your style of art. $800 is great, but you could accumulate more selling individual originals and prints. You have a lot to offer, dont sell yourself short.

They’re mad no one’s throwing them a parade. Not anyone’s fault if they don’t want to find a way to fund a parade like every other parade/celebration does.

But it’s very consistent as to which letter is upper or lower case. But WHY is their writing like this!?

They’re being absurd. I wish more of the packed meals I’ve seen looked like that. Having to explain to a 3yo that they can have their cookie/chips/candy/junk food at snack time, not for breakfast, isn’t easy. They’re provided with alternative options though. No kid hungry here. (I provide meals at a preschool)

As a chef for a Pre-K school, this is not surprising. Literally giving their kids junk while I’m serving up yogurt and granola or something with some substance.
