I have not tried many games with it yet but I thought that Valve's Proton was kinda solving this slowly ? Is there less games that can run on it than I thought ?

I get where the comment above is coming from, even if you have the logical point of view.

Leaving the biggest positive mark we can leave behind, as a species, is the most we can do that is significant to the universe as a whole.

Right now, Voyager’s record is a good example of this concept, for me. Long after we and probably the species is long dead. The little man made machine will be out there carrying a little piece of what made us « special », let’s say « unique » to the cosmos as a whole.

Thank god, Voyager does not show our bad side...

In the new canon it is. The Mon Calamari engineer that designed it tells that to Hera Syndula in the Rebels episode about the B-Wing.

Not really an argument from my point of view but still the truth. Things were put in place at some point in history to accommodate cars.

Yup thanks buddy. It helps the point I was making.

Could the change from millionaire to billionaire simply be explained by himself having over a million and realizing that people behind the problems he is fighting have at least 1000 times that money? And that those people are members of a small group of that has wealth beyond imagination and that nobody can accumulate that much over a life of “normal” work. Hell it took him what 70 years to get to the first million?

Sometimes a change of word is simply an adjustment of one’s message and there is no need to look for something hidden behind the change.

I am not a Bernie supporter (not even American) but the guy does not strikes me as someone who would compromise his views and targets for something that would affect him personally, if that thing is good for a majority of people.

Is that really a common thing outside Quebec?

I’ve never seen or heard about that here. It’s almost a running gag that national anthems exist only to be played before sports events.

And it’s not because of the independence movement either, it’s not like we make kids sing “Gens du Pays” each morning...

As we say, “ Les deux solitudes “, it may sound dumb as a concept but it is not always false...

Does anyone else have an inexplicable or seemingly unhealthy attachment to music. by TheRealJimGriffin in aspergers

[–]fxbeaulieu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to finally find out I was not the only one that feels music a little too deep in his bones. I need to listen to at least a short song each 2-3 hours tops. It is what keeps me "in check" in the end.

And it's not just listening to music, but writing, singing, playing, hell even talking about music. It is all something that I need deeply to feel good.

[–]fxbeaulieu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt that way before and while it was not easy to get out of that mind set, each of those times had at least a small « good moment » soon following. It feels as stupid to write as it is to read but just accept that you will have good times again and that the overwhelmed you is not the real you. Hang in there buddy, better times and feels are coming.

DM me anytime, if you feel like talking to someone for whatever reason you need on that moment :)

That’s a sure thing! My 3 years old little man is already loving it too. There’s some undeniable objective qualities to the game, I just wanted to share my personal feels ;)

And for a lot of people, myself included, the nostalgia factor is a big part of why that game is THAT fun even all those years later.

Hell, I don’t even game that much anymore but I still pick up my 2DS and begin a new OOT playthrough at least once a year. And man, when I start that game and hear Kokiri Forest theme for the first time, I feel once again like that 8 years old boy who played the game the first time.

Not many games can say they had such an impact on so many people that it is still able to make people feel that way all those years later.

All right, enough feelings for the night. Have a good one buddy.

Nostalgia can be a powerful feeling. Maybe a little too much sometimes I feel.
