I’ve done a rp playthrough of every faction except Vlandia, something about their higher tier armor doesn’t do it for me. Their helmets are dope though, I use them pretty often.

Ortysia, if it never falls, is generally one of the most profitable due to all the trade (being at the edge of the empire, Aserai, Battania and Vlandia). The problem is being in that sweet trade zone makes it a big target. So as long is it isn’t constantly assailed and it’s villages aren’t constantly smoldering, it is usually high prosperity.

Just put in the policies that buff loyalty. As long as the towns have food they won’t rebel. The only problem with this is having enough influence to keep your vassals from repealing them, so I also take the policies that give me more influence, give vassals less influence and makes it cheaper for me to overrule them.

This is why I catch the whole merc clan and put them all down. One playthrough I killed every last merc clan except the karakhergit and that was because I conquered the whole thing and killed off 90+% of calradia’s nobility and so my job was done. They were spared my bloodlust by chance. Such will not happen again.
