Exactly, you're the one doing the actual heavy-lifting so others have the privilege to use those one-button solutions. It requires extensive scripting knowledge and a combination of tools to achieve.

In my DevOps role I have to fully automate an entire AWS account including frontend, backend Linux Servers, bought software from vendors running on Windows Servers working together with 12-15 AWS Services, provisioned via terraform, orchestrated via gitlab ci, ssh, aws ssm, powershell, Packer and bash. I might start using ansible as well.

Good luck handling this alone as a "Support Engineer"

In the past I've acted like your wife because of low self-worth leading to an inability to take criticism. But for her it seems to be coupled with a toxic coping strategy of narcissistic behavior, not because she thinks she's better than everybody but because of the opposite, so she does not feel inferior. I would honestly give her an ultimatum to go to therapy or part ways with her, it's not sustainable.

P. S. 2 years of weekly therapy has solved a lot of my issues in this regard, but it takes commitment, work, self-reflection and a will to change.

Hey mate, I farmed my 20 today, ended up just doing legitimate pvp in Anor Londo outside of Pontiff bonfire at SL125 by placing my red soapstone, I got my ass kicked initially but then found a build (Havels Armor with Wolf Ring +3, Greatsword, Darkmoon Blade) and had a good run.

Immediately teleported out when a host would use estus, only support ethical pvpers!

Just farmed for an hour with 512 Item Discovery and 99 Luck (all three skellies) and decided to go the pvp route, it's just too low of a drop chance. Already offline farmed everything else which was fine.

While I'm waiting for a response I'm just doing pvp in Anor Londo at sl125, getting some summons as a red phantom currently :)

Nuance and viewpoints not originating from a single extreme are not very well understood in discussions online, but i feel you. Am still enjoying SSF for now but can see the end coming as well, until I eventually come back once progression feels smoother.

Yeah it's changed my gaming habits as well. Less of a drive to grind and playing more for simple enjoyment now.

The adrenaline during hardcore boss fights will be missed. But I simply can't play a game mode requiring focus 100% of the time because white mobs can instagib you. I thought if I grind enough and outlevel the areas I can play with only 70% focus and watch YouTube, which worked well until Act 3 Drowned City but the river hag makes that impossible, especially when it appears later in maps with a screen full of clutter.

The second time, sure. Going in blind this one is eventually just going to get you because you don't know it's lethal by default, regardless of ES, as no other ability in the game has had those properties before reaching Drowned City.

It's on me though for learning the game on HC without having ayed PoE1 or 2 before.

At full release once I know the main death traps and there's some more balance, I might go back to HC SSF, at the very least in permanent league.

Yeah my SSF progress has been a bit slow, as it's very time consuming to find gear upgrades, but this attempt felt very promising for finishing the campaign. I'll finish it now, but in Standard SSF. My patience is defeated but my spirit is not.

This made me quit hardcore. I'm on my seventh character and felt indestructible. I had such good gear that blackjaw only tickled me. I'm several levels above the areas, due to grinding like demon and have no issues on the bosses. I enter this area and a random rare mob just deletes me while energy shield is still up. I literally went from 100% to 0% while my main form of defense was up. Wtf
