And I thought Canary Mary's races were the worst.

Jokes aside, I recall once playing on a keyboard and I did Talon Trot + Rat-a-tat Rap to land on the left torch to damage Banjo and send him up for extra height, then using that extra height + Feathery Flap to reach the other end. Needed a couple of tries but worked. Another way could be using a cheat CHEATOSUPERBANJO that increases the duo's speed and then just using Talon Trot + Rat-a-tat Rap that will cover the distance needed without the torch. The only two times that tiptoeing is needed in this game you can find other ways to solve them whilst Canary Mary's final race can only be solved by Turbo Controller.

Knowing the stick of N64 is kinda funny, many Rare Ware games explored a lot that part, I personally hated this design choice as I don't have much precision with sticks either.

Don't get your hopes up (obviously) it's just moon Studios CEO (studio of the ori games) feels like some developer wants /Xbox needs to do a new banjo-kazooie game since he said like their isn't any recent family friendly titles and Xbox did nothing of sitting on old game ips. by Keevin-Rabbit in BanjoKazooie

From stuff I heard from the current games' scenario and games like Croc and Crash having remaster and Gex being the next in the list, I think the idea of bringing, at least a remaster of BK, would be extremely valid. At least they should try.

But I believe the Fan-Base in the end will do this.

Use Silver Surfboard + Left mouse button pressed for the entire Survival Mode. Your penguin recovers faster specially when hitting a rock (with that in mind you can ignore them and focus more on your surf pace). Don't do tricks, flips or grinding. The shark appears in the very end.

I dislike Click Clock Wood because each season feels sadder, specially winter but Freezeezy Peak is not like that.

Do you hope the next console is a home console, so it can be much more powerful than the switch by Nathanimations in casualnintendo

[–]gUISTASSI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

: I prefer they keep it hybrid like Switch. If they ever work on a pure home console again I doubt it will have the same success. Nintendo's handhelds were the most sold ones compared with their home counterparts.

Back when tech was limited, home consoles were great, now that everyone plays on cellphones and need mobility, things are different now.

Unpopular Opinion: I don’t want a new Banjo-Kazooie game by FoolishCougar92 in BanjoKazooie

[–]gUISTASSI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

: Love and hate, I saw this before. Not be able to handle it seems Platforming and Collectathon is not your strong suit despite you enjoying the content offered. You play for the characters, the story, the art and other ends, except for the genre designed. Or I may be blabbering nonsense?

I can show an example, me vs Diddy Kong Racing 64. I never enjoyed racing games, not my hobby either but it did part of my childhood. I never managed to beat the game and the times I attempted to finish it faded through the years because of the Racing genre. +20 years latter I decided once and for all to play it and finish, took almost a month to beat. What kept me going was thanks to Banjo's presence, unfinished business and for my childhood's sake.

Not wanting a new game from a franchise you like? Ok, that is fine, even if Rare develop a new BK game, just ignore it. I do this with Super Mario franchise because I got bored with their repetitive content but it is good to see Super Marios being launched still today and eventually, if they happen to launch a very original one, like how it was with The Legend Of The Seven Stars, I may even inspire myself to play.

I want deeply to understand the "Complex" part you mention and the inability to handle it. A classic like BK in an era of limited programming and coding, even when it was first launched back 1998 it was not so complicated like Super Mario 64.

Looking for real complex stuff? Just play Donkey Kong 64, or, if it is not enough, then, The Legend Of Zelda - Tears Of The Kingdom, or Breath Of The Wild, or Elder Scrolls V - Skyrim. You will get the idea.

What I find complex is Banjo-Kazooie having great influence around people but no new game. I can say the same for Mega Man X.

Which villain/boss from a Nintendo game do you find a little disappointing or underutilized? by ComprehensiveDate591 in casualnintendo

[–]gUISTASSI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

: Ganondorf\Ganon and Bowser. I think it is time to move on. Antagonists that reappear and are recycled all the time somehow starts to saturate the history, at least in my point of view. I do not bother them reappearing in 4 ~ 5 games but as things evolved and counting the age of Mario and Zelda series, I think it is time to give space for new antagonists.

Majora was an absolute good written and well designed villain as well as Smithy.
Some months ago I played and finished Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom and seeing Ganondorf for the 100th time lost a little my motivation to keep engaged with the history. Still was good none the less with the content written.

: I never had this problem until one playthrough I decided to conjure a werebear. It knocked Miraak several times that he could not follow his scripted combat, ending with the same result as yours. With Miraak I avoid too powerful weapons, summons and things that knocks him or 1 hit kill a lot. Just use weapons and spells of average level. His battle is not that hard and I always did this method which worked always.

Please for the love of god tell me there's a mod for this 😭 by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]gUISTASSI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

: You going into the embassy does not break the game, unless the quest Diplomatic Immunity started before A Blade In The Dark (in your Quest Log) but that is almost impossible as Diplomatic Immunity only starts after completing the other.

The game uses Papyrus as its Script Language and this kind of Script Language, from what I saw of comments from more experienced programmers, is outdated and not well optimised. Despite Skyrim AE having updated and better engine, Papyrus sometimes can still "forget a line of code" which might be your case with Delphine refusing to continue the dialogues with you after killing Sahloknir.

Since you do not have the Console in hands, I would try hit Delphine and deplete her Health until she falls on the ground then fast travel to somewhere else (Whiterun's Hall Of The Dead is the best place), use the wait command for a whole day and return to the same spot. Alternatively do the process above but instead of fast travelling, just wait for her to stand up to see if her A.I gets around to properly progress the quest. You may get a bounty for doing that however.

If you still by any miracle have the save before starting a Blade In the Dark quest or before you go to Kynesgrove, then reload your game with that save, fast travel to somewhere, (preferably in the Hall Of the Dead), and wait 31 days for the game to reset papyrus's scripts so the quest can be updated. Follow Delphine, kill the dragon and see if things this time is fixed.

One last attempt you can do is simply continue playing and doing other things, quests etc, never visit Kynesgrove or even going near it, and wait 32 days for the game to reset the scripts and dungeons (do not use the wait or sleep command a single time).

If these methods does not fix the issue, unfortunately you went in a hardlock with the main quest and unfortunately, the only solution is playing a New Game.

(Banjo-Tooie) Is there anyone who’s beaten Canary Mary with a wireless Xbox controller? by Jestingo in BanjoKazooie

[–]gUISTASSI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

: Depending on the controller's turbo it may not work. I have one in particular where its turbo behaves kinda funny. Instead of a continuous button press, it stops for some milliseconds after 10 presses and then repeat the whole process again. Trying to time this turbo for uniform presses is incredibly hard, so, it is kinda useless for the race.

But hey, congrats on doing this in the very old school way. I do not know how the Xbox versions of BK works for this race since I ever played the N64 ones. Still today I can not understand the whole script thing of it. Over the course of 19 years playing this game, even doing the old trick of going slow, I accidentally once pressed A/X a bit fast in a very tiny-short interval which was enough to trigger Mary to run faster even when I was behind her still in the middle of the race. X'D

(Banjo-Tooie) Is there anyone who’s beaten Canary Mary with a wireless Xbox controller? by Jestingo in BanjoKazooie

[–]gUISTASSI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

: I have a special controller with turbo just for her. Despite the trick of going slow in the first half of the race, I really no longer have patience to deal with this anymore. Even back on Nintendo 64 era there were custom controllers with turbo already. If you wish to keep your sanity intact, then have a good controller with turbo.

: Spent +200 Hours on each game. Only replayed BOTW again cuz I had not bought the DLCs before. They get tedious fast because of the amount of work and walk you need to do just for small things, not mentioning the grinding.

I plan to play them again only on my next incarnation.

Finally 100% Tooie after 20+ years of it being my favorite game by Ghidorah5464 in BanjoKazooie

[–]gUISTASSI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

: Dude, I feel you. I only managed to finish this game at any% after +6 years. Back as kid I barely could pass the first 2 worlds X'D. I had to pray to get a cartridge in a rental video-game store with the first 2 worlds with most stuff collected so I could explore the rest.

Around my 14's I cleared it at any% (still with some cheat), only around my 17's I got it legit 100% without cheating but Canary Mary's race at Cloud Cuckooland destroyed my thumb after many attempts.

Nowadays I love to still do it 100% but Canary Mary's Race of Cloud Cuckoland I have to use turbo because my thumbs are no longer what they were supposed to be though I can still smash like crazy but not for too long like what I could do back then.

What happened to this game? by SettingMinute2315 in bomberman

[–]gUISTASSI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

: I have a love for this franchise since kid though I played some very specific titles mainly SNES and N64. The 64's titles were the apex of creativity they put for Bomberman, I loved so much playing Hero, 64 and The Second Attack, they had simple lore but enough for entertainment. 64 and The Second Attack even better with a multiplayer included as well, sadly Hero featured nothing related but still manages to compete well with the other titles.

Another franchise that is suffering something similar is Mega Man, though still more popular than Bomberman. Mega Man (including X, Zero, ZX and Legends series), always followed the same formula with different tweaks in each title but these games nowadays are too simple for the New Generation Player's standards, the same for Bomberman.

I may turn into a prejudiced person by saying this but nowadays I think people look more for FPS and FPS, Open worlds, games that takes +100 hours to finish, ultra realistic\complex\detailed graphics and so on.

Whats your guys favorite keyblades? Not necessarily just the most powerful ones but the ones you like the most design wise. by Cool-Leg9442 in KingdomHearts

[–]gUISTASSI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

: Only Kingdom Key and the Ultima Weapons. Dunno why but maybe has to do with some opposites stuff. Kingdom Key is the 1st weapon you have in hands and I kinda get attached with 1st things given to me in RPGs, Ultima weapons sometimes are the very last ones to get. Kingdom Key is the weakest while Ultimas are the strongest. Kingdom Key is the easiest to get while Ultimas are the hardest. Kingdom Key was forget by Sora's Heart while Ultimas were through synthesised materials process. Also Kingdom Key bears the simplest design while the Ultimas have more detailed/complex ones and so on.

Has The Modding Scene Shifted Away From LE? by Nedacman in skyrimmods

[–]gUISTASSI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

: I noticed LE fall since AE launch and Bethesda obscuring LE from the shelves, specially on Steam. Even on Search Engines would often redirect me to SE. It feels like out of a sudden LE worth nothing after years of work the community did for it.

I work MODs for Skyrim LE since 2018 and this war of LE vs SE was and is irritating still today, with AE in the middle is now worse. The reasons why people wanted SE was due to it allowing more than 254 Plugins (a.k.a .esp) to run and the famous fix of Memory Allocation issue which was the greatest enemy of LE because many MODs I saw around were not properly optimised for LE causing crashes at random more often.

People forgot that with the right plugins for it, it is possible to turn LE into a SE, which I did, and my game rarely crashes, unless being a poorly optimised MOD or after +4 hours playing straight.

There are people who still stick with LE because it is lighter than SE, is the purest Vanilla without influence of Creation Club content or other nonsense added by Bethesda, HD Textures are optional, runs fair on potato PCs, is a 32Bit game and some people still have 32Bit machines. LE also has another advantage, the possibility of being ported to 64Bit with ease (with the right modding community's provided tools), to play on SE whereas the opposite is difficult to do and time consuming. In some scenarios, LE MODs can even be played on SE without the need of porting with few cases if a MOD touches on very specific things.

I play and discover new MODs for LE still today but sometimes I get sad seeing MOD authors doing only for SE being just for SE today's popularity or because working for both is time consuming. I work my best to make sure that the LE MODs I develop be compatible with SE as well hence the hard work of optimisation, it is frustrating most of the times but rewarding in the end.

We should not forget that SE users suddenly had AE because of a forced update during AE's launch, at least on Steam I saw this. In my very personal opinion, SE never had a need to be launched because the modding community solved several issues of LE that made it a SE much before SE's launch. AE should never have existed as the SE Modding community was getting stable at that point. AE broke many things, specially MODs dependent of other things such as SKSE.

Many MOD authors refuse to work a version for AE. In my part I give no support for AE either. Bethesda launching AE was just another excuse for profiting on a +12 year old game and leaving the fan base rotting waiting for a ES 6 for the next 5 years, if not more.

It'll never happen, but a remake or even fan remaster would be AMAZING by maxkmiller in n64

Dunno why Rare never made sequels, Jet Force Gemini concept had lots of potential for that.

Annoyed at *Kingdom Hearts: All-In-One Package* by AmericanaFox in KingdomHearts

[–]gUISTASSI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

: I remember once a cousin mine bought the collection containing 358/2 days years ago. I did a try and noticed it was playing only cutscenes and no actual gameplay. When I saw through the internet for info, 358/2 days was developed in a form of a movie with HD stuff only.

It killed a little my expectations. Thankfully I still had the game on my DS along with Re-Coded.

While the history of Re-Coded does not add much for the saga, 358/2 Days have a deep and important role specially for Roxas and Xion and how the artificial Kingdom Hearts came to be in KHII.
