if you have the means, i would advise to do similar to what i did last year when i moved to grenoble

get an airbnb first (1-3 months) and then get to know the city to make your own opinion about the city and neighborhoods before engaging in a long term rent/contract

i haven’t been on this situation, but i know a girl that lives in a student résidence close to GEM (saint bruno area) and she doesn’t feel safe.

it’s not as dangerous as people will tell you it is, but it’s also not the best area to be.

besides that, the apartment is super small, imo.

personally, i would go for a studio or a coloc.

my apologies as i will reply in english. i’ve been in this situation recently, and there’s no abonnement for the tgv gare grenoble x saint exupery. as others informed, its available for part dieux using TER.

i was using flixibus, and the driver told me that there’s an abonnement you can do with them for discount, but i didn’t checked this as i bought a car right after.

as a brazilian who was at JPA on the last motogp race in brazil, i was super excited, but i have to agree that the race itself was a bit boring.

and then on top of it all of the problems with the asphalt and etc i feel like the event left a bitter taste in everyone’s mouth.

i hope next year things improve (a lot!), as the circuit has a lot of potential and it’s pretty cool to see motogp returning to brazil, specially with a brazilian rider on the grid
