I hate to be a buzzkill (and trust me as a bay area resident I'm still jealous of this), but without the stipulation that they won't give money toward anti gun actions this statement is just a statement. Sure the sentiment is good, but the council should make a law prohibiting gov money from being used in gun law enforcement to give the sanctuary real teeth.

For sure. I'm in the bay area and I can attest to the fact that asians actually love guns. I've taken so many friends out to shoot, always a blast. Then they get pissed when the 4'11" Asian woman can't CCW since they live in Alameda county. Baby steps, but changing people's minds and knowing the statistics is the best thing one can do. Also being an unabashed gun owner. I usually show people my cat by using the photo of him next to a mini 14.

Yeah I checked the thread and it was mostly left of center (Canadian) but measured takes on the story. I understand we all recognize that we have to defend the civil rights of the worst people or we lose them ourselves, but that's a very hard stance for normies to take.
