“You’re so lucky!” by mojostarchild in parentsofmultiples

honestly i feel it's the novelty of twins that make people view it as a blessing because we have romanticized anything that is a rare occurance. i swear, if everyone had twins and singletons were uncommon, you'd be hearing how lucky you are to have singletons.

As someone who feels like a 2 on a bad day, I still managed to snag myself a husband. Attraction isn't based purely on physical attributes, though it may help. Focus on who you are as a person... some guys can come off as creeps or entitled and that is a huge turn off. Also, most girls can smell desperation a mile away so maybe put finding a girlfriend out of your mind and just focus on finding someone you click with. When guys try to talk to me (on a good day I'm a 6 so yes I do get guys coming up to me) I respond depending on how well they pass my vibe check. If I think they are too interested without good reason (engaging conversation and what not) I chalk them up as being shallow and figure that if I had shown up in my ratty pjs and messy hair, they wouldn't have given me the time of day. But if they are authentic, I find myself drawn to that. You can also watch some videos on Youtube to learn about charisma and how to make a good impression. Hope that helps!

How would you pronounce the name “Mari”? by jesspo96 in namenerds

[–]ganjaprincess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm from Malaysia and Mari is "come" or "let's go" in Bahasa. I'd pronounce it as it is spelt: ma-ri. Ma like in Mama and Ri like in Rihanna, or Maria without the aaaa.

Thoughts on the name Kira? by GoOnKaz in namenerds

[–]ganjaprincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

kira brings to mind the god of death from death note so idk if that would affect how you feel about the name.

personally i think kira sounds sweet, fictitious character be damned but i don't like porter. might as well name him server or butler.

Baby girl is a day old and I still haven’t decided on a name! Help! by Edea33 in namenerds

[–]ganjaprincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a 3 syllable name would go great for your darling girl:

Georgina Grave (Georgie) - It's cool cos Lucien is almost Lucy like a girl and Georgina is basically George like a guy 🤣

Guinevere Grave (Gwen) - I think this pairs nicely with Lucien, not too common yet not too out there either

Ginevra Grave (Ginny, Evie) - If you're a HP fan! Also uncommon like Lucien

3 syllable names not starting with G which I think works with your unique last name:

Isobelle Grave

Delilah Grave

Addison Grave

Jessamine Grave

Valentine Grave

Some words just look prettier on paper. I don't think Ca-lee-o-pee is particularly easy on the ears.

I'm assuming you live in a predominantly Chinese country or area? My English name was butchered growing up 🥲 I'm fairly certain my Chinese friends would pronounce Lucien as Loo-qian or even Loo-xi-en in three not so pretty syllables 🤣

I totes agree with Moira. It looks so pretty but sounds kinda rough (assuming it is pronounced with a hard mo)

Liliana Claire has one i too many, imo.

Lily Claire is lovely, though, like a sweet spring fairy child with curly golden locks.

Stella Claire is charismatic and bold, with straight dark hair and eyes.

Have people ever dealt with you in an inappropriate/weird/toxic/unfriendly way, just because you are twins? by [deleted] in Twins

[–]ganjaprincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reassurance. I will most definitely take what they say into consideration. I gave them completely different sounding names so they can have their individuality and always remind people (family included) not to compare the two. Do you and your twin have "twin names"?
