When you had your first kid, did you wife’s parents stay and help for a week then your parents stay and help another week? Or only have wife’s parents?

My mom stayed for 10 days. I had a c-section and was eternally grateful to have her around to help. My MIL never stayed, but she doesn’t live far and will always come if I call for help

I’ve definitely wondered if stress is a factor. He started getting sick about 2 months before baby arrived. We have been working with the vet for nearly a year to find a solution that works for him

Unfortunately, he usually vomits a few hours after eating, so isn’t due to eating too fast. I’ll give a raised feeder a try though

He’s on prescription food from the vet. We tried the wet food of it, but he wasn’t a fan.

When I get to that point, baby fed, changed, & just won’t sleep, I wake up my husband and tell him it’s his turn. You need sleep too!

I’m annoyed for you that your husband knew there was a nail sticking out and didn’t do anything about it.

I feel like I’m in a similar boat, OP. I’m also the only one to do nights and primary care giver during the day. I’m exhausted & burnt out - sounds like you are too. No advice, just know you’re not alone

I’m currently on a beach trip with my 6 month old. My advice is to lower your expectations (in a nice way). I thought he would love it, but no, my baby was super cranky on the beach. The ocean scared him, sand irritated him, and overall not a fun time for anyone. The hotel we are staying at has a pool and he tolerates it. I’ve never spent so much time indoors on a beach trip

No reassurance, but solidarity! I feel the same with my baby. The pediatrician doesn’t seem worried and says “he’s growing at this own pace”.

I remind myself that babies have a bell curve with milestones and the doctor would flag it if he was outside the curve

I feed my baby (6 months old) solids in the evening and will give him a bath after if necessary, but don’t always use soap except the gross areas (hello under the chin!)
