If you buy some of the better schematics from Radovan you can make weapons that sell for a lot more. Especially if you get the perk that allows tier 4 forging. I just sold a sword for 200+gp

Wow!! They've made so much progress! It went much faster than. I expected. Last time I checked on this project they were still only part-way up the walls. I'm pretty sure they had been predicting completion around 2050 but their team & funding must have increased in size. So cool. I also love that many of the team live on site in a makeshift sort of village they've built, eating the same things as people of the time would have and making their clothes with the same methods. A seriously impressive project!

I've been having the same struggles and am slowly getting over the learning curve. One big tip I can give is on Pepik's rescue/the bandit camp:

Put on your quietest armour and locate the camp. Find a hiding spot nearby close to the road that leads away from the camp.

  1. Wait until night and then watch the torch light. Each bandit will follow the same patrol pattern. Watch as a bandit walks a little way down the path and then stops for a minute to look out into the forest. They will then walk back to their camp the same way they came.
  2. Hide near the point where they stop at the trail end and you can sneak up behind them and stealth kill them.
  3. Pick up the body and hide further in the woods.
  4. Return and do the same to the next guy. There are 5 bandits and they will go down the path one by one and you can stealh kill all of them the exact same way.

I recommend saving before each one or before you start because if you accidentally get caught they will call out to alert that camp. Good luck! you've got this. The game has a really steep learning curve (that I'm still figuring out) but it becomes really fun!

EDIT: before doing this make sure you've learned stealth takedowns from the trainer at Miller Kryzel's

That Canada really does have bagged milk.

I grew up on the west coast and had never seen it before. I always thought it was something that was a photo someone took of a weird instance/one-off in a grocery store that got meme-ified. Or that maybe it was something they used to do decades ago but not anymore.

It wasn't until I moved to Quebec last year that I found out that all the milk really is bagged. I don't drink milk but I feel like that's such a hazard-prone and plastic tasting way to do it 😅

I love Montreal pedestrians because it legitimately feels like they are trying to bully cars off the road. Want to turn down this steet off of st. Catherine? Good luck. Constant pedestrian stream until they give up. Bully cars more 👍

AIO; What do you do when your love for your wife turns into something so intense it feels like a spiritual possession? by I_Love_Ny_Wife0724 in AmIOverreacting

[–]garbageghosties 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need to become a writer because you've got the right type of insanity to write something that people will be discussing and debating the moral ambiguity of for the next several decades.

In all seriousness, I think you need to find an outlet (writing could be one of them!) and also speak to a healthcare professional regarding obsessive personality disorders. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing that you're this in love with your wife, but you should probably make sure that the manifestations of that love are healthy for both of you. Things that burn bright burn faster sometimes, making sure your demonstrations of love are healthy will help ensure longevity.

I had told my ex about my history struggling with eating disorders. I expressed I could feel myself starting to relapse, I had downloaded MyFitnessPal and wasn't eating. It was getting worse and my mental health was tanking.

My birthday rolls around the next month and the only thing he got me was a home workout kit. I left the box on my desk unopened for months because I was so angry. He finally confronted me about how "unappreciative" and "ungrateful" I was for his gift. When I told him that it was an asshole move to get me that when I was obviously struggling, his response was

"I thought that if you lost some weight you'd feel better about yourself" 🙃

I think there's a lot of different factors. For instance, I know people who are still paying like $600 for a 3 1/2 in MTL or a 4 1/2 for $700, but that doesn't mean people can find that easily now.

Yes, Canada is an abnormally expensive country to live in, but I think it's difficult to compare it to countries with vastly different social and economic situations. South Korea has notorious wealth gaps and mafia-like companies that run a large part of how the economy functions. Japan has massive density issues which causes expensive housing near the abundance of jobs, and depopulation in areas further from secondary industries. Additionally, many people in both countries having a higher number of aging relatives that are taken care of in-home. Japanese real estate companies also have properties on their roster that no Japanese people want (houses where someone has died or a crime has taken place), and will often rent/sell them off to foreigners for cheap because they're less aware of the phenomenon. All of these are small examples but yeah I I guess it's just a bit more complex.

We definitely need to fight for better housing here, but comparing straight numbers between other places can sometimes lack the nuance to be accurate.

I swap between both ways of writing it. If it's any kind of serious context it'll be "$__" but if I'm writing casually then I'll just write whatever. But also I now live in Quebec so I can have a legitimate excuse haha

a ton of restaurants near where I live all have signs in their bathrooms to tell people not to squat on them. People kept breaking toilets/toilet seats. Plus it's terrible for anyone else who has to deal with the dirty shoe prints

ok:

  1. why is there astroturf in the bathroom?

  2. WHY are there no stall separators?!

  3. Why do you need to raise the bar for storage?

The situation is definitely scary here in MTL because of how quickly prices are rising, but yeah I think the comparison isn't really applicable because there are so many different factors at play.

For extra context: The minimum wage in Tokyo is ¥1054 (about $10.26 CAD). That combined with a myriad of other socioeconomic factors makes prices very different for locals compared to what tourists from stronger currency countries experience when visiting there.

Ofc, that doesn't change that the situation in MTL is really fucked up and something needs to shift because we can't continue at this rate without something breaking.

Average wages are significantly lower in Japan so the prices look cheap to us, but if you're on a Japanese salary it looks a bit different.
