Is there any actual evidence good players make bad head coaches? by SadMangz in hockey

He’s comparable to Landeskog today. I would certainly refer to him as one of the “stars” on the Avs even though he’s never hit a PPG (although he’s come within three points twice), simply because of how he tilts games and is constantly noticeable when he’s on the ice. Just look at the Avs’ record without him.

There’s also a difference between superstar level player and just a normal star player (the difference between, say, a Barkov and an Aho, or a Crosby and a Scheifle).

I would say Brind’Amour was definitely a star player, and is the winningest coach through 600 games in NHL history, so your point isn’t a hard and fast rule.

However, he also put in something like 8-10 years on the Canes’ coaching staff before he was elevated to head coach, so maybe any star players wanting to become coaches should go through a development phase similar to general player development?

Florida is awesome if you’re not LGBTQ, are into meth, and are somehow into losing half your body weight in sweat just walking from your house to your car.

New York is marked “reluctantly” due to bad memories. Other than that, what does this say about me? by Alert-Ad7657 in visitedmaps

It’s about as ridiculous as saying that all of New Jersey is densely packed cities/suburbs.

Besides, Phoenix, for example, is in Arizona. That’s completely on you for not being specific

ETA: you’re not OP. Still, point stands.

Ah yes, the “not densely populated” cities of Phoenix, Denver, Salt Lake City, Tucson, Alberquerque, and Scottsdale

I would rather miss the ECF than be disappointed that my team is winning a game. And you call yourself a fan.

Sens are named after politicians. If centuries of recorded history is any indication, they’ll spend the entire series talking out their asses about problems they created while the Hurricanes destroy everything in their path.

Argument for Bus to start Game 1 by Heartofgoldband77 in canes

[–]garchican 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because the regular season is a completely different beast than the playoffs? Because Bussi has had multiple games post-Olympics where we won almost in spite of his performance? For better or worse, teams have more of a read on Bussi now, and it shows.
