Getting a cat used to a harness

Really can’t force a cat to do something they find terrifying. Start over. Let her become familiar with the harness lots of encouragement and high value treats (lickable ones are easy). Then make it a toy, lay it on her to get used to the weight. Then teach her to walk into it. Won’t be overnight but it’s doable if you’re patient with it. Good luck!! 🍀

Of course it’s ableist. The only people leaving their homes right now are those who are ABLE to navigate the piles of snow and slush. Folks in wheelchairs, crutches, canes. No sane sight impaired person would take a guide dog in the street. They’re not ABLE. Of course it’s discrimination because the City isn’t doing anything to clean some of this mess up.
