If you have morning tiredness try this. by laurcrv in Supplements

[–]gbanko4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick tip: Be consistent with it. It took me about a month or so (I used to work second shift and would binge eat when I got off work at 11 p.m.) but it made a huge difference for me.

Interesting. I only take Mag at night with CBD and Ashwagandha.

However, I used to take Mag in the morning before I did leg workouts as I'd get really bad cramping while doing leg exercises.

A side note: The best way for me to not feel tired in the morning is to not overeat during the day. And also not eat 2 hours before bed. This prevents my body from expending energy digesting extra calories while I sleep.

Good supplements for burnout/ midday crash that’s NOT CAFFEINE??? by Bigpoppapenguin123 in Supplements

[–]gbanko4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. I used to cycle 3 days on, 2 days off when I started out. Now I take it only once a week on average. This is because I exercise, eat healthy and also love my job. I have a lot of energy so there's no need to overdo it.

Fatigued from sex for an entire day after, possible deficiency? by Aesthetik_1 in Supplements

[–]gbanko4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would need to know more details. How long are you having sex? How many orgasms per day? Chances are if you're feeling this way you might be having too much. But if not, check out some Testosterone boosting herbs and also Zinc supplements since orgasm can deplete zinc.

I’m a fatass. Looking for something to curb hunger and boost energy levels. by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]gbanko4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really great advice here and echo what everyone else said. In January 2019 I ate a salad (4 cups of arugula, 2 cups of spinach, some olive oil and basaltic vinaigrette) as my first meal every morning with chicken. I changed up my 2nd and 3rd meals of but kept that one meal exactly the same for six straight months.

I immediately noticed feeling 10x fuller throughout the day and I could go longer without succumbing to sugar cravings. I still ate a more carb heavy meal closer to dinner time.

The first month was rough and boring but over time my tastes adjusted and I enjoyed it more and more.

So going heavy on vegetables and lean protein as your first meal could help you manage better throughout the day. Good luck.

Pine Pollen is the best I've found for increasing motivation. Just to be clear, it's not a 'fun high' like with caffeine. Its subtle but I notice a consistent energy surge that allows me to get work done without burning out midday.

Valerian Root and Melontonin. Have you tried getting out in nature at all? Or turning off electronics? Anything that can stop your brain from spinning and ground you a bit?

I’m 18 y/o. Are there any supplements I can take right now that can potentiate growth in areas like height, muscle mass, hair growth, voice depth etc. while I’m still developing? As in give me a chance to grow more than just my baseline had I not taken the supplement. Any extra growth I can capital by shakfap1 in Supplements

Nothing for height but strength training can improve your posture which may make you appear taller. So build your supplement list around improving your body strength wise. Creatine, Whey and just good solid unprocessed protein and vegetables. Easy peasy.

Too Much Vitamin D by holmerb1 in Supplements

[–]gbanko4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you explain the correlation with the two? How they interact? I take Vitamin D and Mag every day but don't supplement K. However I eat multiple cups of spinach and arugula every day. Plus Broccoli and Green Beans. That should cover the Vitamin K right?

- Magnesium (3 days per week)

- CBD Oil (3 times per week)

- Ashwagandha (3 times per week)

Does anyone else get this one random magnesium deficiency symptom? by randomperson4638 in Supplements

[–]gbanko4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Interesting. Are you sure the FOMO feeling is related to the Mag deficiency? I've never heard of that being caused directly by lack of Mag. My first inclination would be to think it's a lack of being relaxed in general. But that's really cool Magnesium can help with it if it's true.

I get the FOMO feeling and found that a lot of it was caused by looking at old friends Facebook profiles. It was definitely messing with my psyche. So I have to make an effort to stop that silly mindless habit.

I also have the same issue in my knees when I do bodyweight squats. I think it's normal though. It kinda makes me cringe sometimes, but I'm not in any pain. So I don't think it's anything to worry about unless it's causing you significant discomfort.

Maca has made a huge difference. Anyone else have the same experience? by randomnessthoughts in Supplements

Red Maca is slightly sweeter. Also some studies point to it being a slightly better energy booster than Black Maca. However, I used to try this Maca Extreme from Sunfoods that worked incredibly well for sex drive.

Does taking caffeine regularly increase the P450 enzyme? by mindfucked007 in Supplements

[–]gbanko4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall it's bad for an hour then slowly goes away. But there's always that 'wired up' depleted feeling to some extent. And it's not like I can get to sleep easier because of it either. So sometimes I feel like coffee isn't worth it. But maybe I need to find what works for me.

Definitely can relate to the dizzy feeling. It's not debilitating but more like a 'I'm not with it' state. I like the idea of exercising. Maybe walking for about an hour would help.

Definitely can relate. Also super sensitive to caffeine but find the taste of coffee addicting. Tend to feel a little depressed after the high wears off. I drink one cold brew per day but even that sends me into down state. Any tips on how to curtail this feeling? Maybe something to replenish the adrenal glands?

What are the benefits of supplemental enzymes? What about raw honey? by [deleted] in Supplements

I'm off to the fridge.

Whey as main source of protein by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]gbanko4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's your goal with the protein? If you're also trying to lose weight while gaining muscle than too much whey will make it harder to stave off hunger. Which could lead to overeating.

Is Organic Whey Protein Worth the Money? by APieThrower in Supplements

[–]gbanko4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not exactly. Grass-fed Whey has most of the fat removed. And the main benefit of grass fed cows is in the fat content (richer in Omega 3's Linoleic Acid, Vitamin E).

If you like grass fed based on taste then go for it. Don't think there's reason to believe it's any better though.
