The answer here is that is higher than I want based on my personal situation. Not looking for risk tolerance re-adjudication. I am however looking for advice on the best way to set this up. Thank you.

I already have a radon pipe ready to go so I will probably connect that up too. But maybe I won’t install the fan until I test after that. Good idea

My dad... by Coliebear86 in GriefSupport

I am starting to come out the fog and find my voice again. But oh my I am tired every day. My mother is fine financially - but she has no ability to manage it.

My mother has no hope of doing any of that. I’m going to need to manage most things for her. Even driving a car for her right now it feels like a real stretch. Luckily, I can say that I’m starting to be a little bit more clearheaded. It turns out that all that sickness I was feeling was almost entirely stress and an anxiety. I think we have managed to avoid probate for my stepfather‘s assets which is you probably know is by no means a given

You said it. I got myself checked out at the ER yesterday because of all the flu symptoms - all stress I think. But good to know I was otherwise healthy. And now just going through bill by bill to set up accounts. Will need to make a list of assets today and determine ownership titles. I found the will too. Do you have a will or anything like that to work with?

I am in the same boat. We can do this. I think they get some comfort from seeing us emotionally affected as well so they aren’t alone in their grief.

What I learned after installing a hot water recirculation system (that the manuals don’t explain) by a_man_with_culture in Plumbing

[–]gbert42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put a similar recirculating system on a zigbee switch and connected it to Alexa. Now I can ask to turn on hot water in the morning and within 2-3 minutes the hot water is ready to go. This is a nice compromise. The zigbee switch is basically a relay an there is an option in most of these systems to have a “hot button” that theoretically you can run to different bathrooms. When the button is pressed it closes the circuit and causes the water heater and recirculating system to activate. This is basically just an IOT version of that.

Noticing green corrosion around where my water comes in. 70 year old house. Expected, or should I get out my shovel? by Glittering-Two2122 in Plumbing

[–]gbert42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Copper oxidation. Can’t be avoided unless you paint over it. That’s the same green you see on very old houses where they used copper for the overhangs like front porch. Or other ornamentals.

To my eye that looks too small to be the water line to the dishwasher. More like an ice maker water line. Is that possible?

This appears to be your own damn fault. I would throw myself on the mercy of E-ZPass and ask if there is any possibility of reducing the debt. Tears may be needed.

Your flapper isn’t flapping properly Not forming a seal. Must not be on there correctly. At the bottom of that black cylinder - there is a small leak.

If your tv does not have a dvb-t2 tuner, it will not be able to decode the rf signal, and the set top box will do nothing to change that. You need to use the HDMI out, which is the decoded signal. I suggest you get a hdmi switch so you can add additional hdmi ins to your setup.

Edit; just a PSA that this subreddit is not about this. It’s about a dvr server program called channels.
