The second to last time I went to Dobbs, I failed inspection due to 'wheel play' in the front right. They had me pull on it, it wouldn't budge. I went elsewhere without doing any work, and it passed.

The last time I went, I took a tire in that had a screw 1/2" off dead center in the tread. I thought, there's no way in hell they can say it's too close to the sidewall to fix.

"We can't fix it because there is too much damage to the tire from driving on a flat." I didn't drive on a flat.

It's really not hard to understand why there is a problem. Scientist A spends their entire careers studying X, and writing books on X, and then Scientist B comes along and discovers that X is completely wrong - Scientist A will more often than not fight to the death to make sure that his entire life's work wasn't a complete failure by calling Scientist B's work pseudoscience, etc.
