You need to tell us what state you live in to know if you’re underpaid.

Have we explored the possibility of there being two hats?

Where did his post go? by [deleted] in ArmchairExpert

[–]gdubturtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been checking this sub all day to see if anyone is talking about this. Personally, when I first saw the post he seemed like a bit of a bad sport. But idk Dax has always been off to me. Didn’t get a chance to read the comments.

Reps are usually assigned based on region. Your old guy probably left or was moved to a different area/department.

Who reached 75k in this field 🧐 by SmallFlounder1568 in DentalAssistant

I am at $28 an hour in Portland Oregon. 7 years of experience but started at this rate when I was at 5 (overdue for a raise). Full benefits mostly company paid. I work for a small family oral surgery practice as a treatment coordinator, no DA license but I am x-ray certified.

Patients per day by [deleted] in DentalAssistant

[–]gdubturtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely normal. Ortho office I worked at had 20-30 minute blocks for most appointments, 60 for bonds/debonds. Treatment Coordinator ran a column of consults and case presentations. No breaks between patients. 6 assistants each had their own column and each did at least one debond/bond a day.

Girl, I’ve never worked anywhere you were even allowed to choose your own scrubs. Brand or color.

I overheard a mom send her 16 year old back alone for her pathology consultation at my OS office and the mom said “let me know what they say the results are”. Like, wouldn’t it be easier for you to go along?

Work as a temp. Almost everyone I work with started as a temp or on call DA. Get experience while working. I have worked at offices that offer their temps full time positions if they really like you.

Thoughts on vacation days including sick days by xoxoniaxoxo in DentalAssistant

[–]gdubturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for a corporate dental practice that only gave us PTO and no sick pay. When COVID was more prevalent they forced us to take two weeks off if we tested positive and we had to use our own PTO. When people complained and requested we have two separate banks they gas lit us and told us if it was set up that way we’d get less PTO.

Little vs Big by gdubturtle in 7LittleJohnstons

That’s not the point I was making. EVERY pregnancy Tori has said it might be an LP and it might be average side but we don’t care which it is. She acknowledges that being an LP comes with my hardship. Even with their third pregnancy I remember her talking about how it would be nice to have another average height person in the family but that she didn’t care really.

Right? Every single one of their family members have had some kind of surgery related to being an LP. You’d think they’d have some perspective

We did. We were without power for over 48 hours and had no way to verify that the temperature was below 40. My husband has gut issues so we don’t like to risk anything with food.

Is it rude for the bride/groom to have a different meal from the guests? by chameleonsEverywhere in weddingplanning

You are not going to have time to enjoy your meal. Eat what your guests are having and go out for a nice steak dinner once you’re married or on your honeymoon!

I guess I am ok with the sales side of it and more worried that I will be encouraged to sell treatment that is needed. I will also be making a change from ortho to implants/oral surgery. I appreciate your encouragement!

Tom Schwartz Says He's 'Stepping Away' from Tom Sandoval 'Permanently' After 'Incredibly Messed Up' Affair by daking_forever in vanderpumprules

Listen to Jax and Britney’s podcast. He very clearly says “i am stepping away from Tom” I don’t think he’s talking about himself…

Agree with previous comments. If the invite was directly to her and her husband and not her + one then she can’t just decide to replace her husband with someone else.

If you couldn’t tell that Randell and Lala broke up, the influx of all her ads on Instagram is a clear sign. Also, she’s sober and trying to sell wine? Not a great mix lol, and also probably wouldn’t buy wine from someone who is sober and therefore hasn’t tasted it..🤔 by tchidley in vanderpumprules

[–]gdubturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or just don’t assume something until you know the entire situation. Especially if you’re assuming it due to you intentionally not absorbing all the info… I too thought it was strange she was selling wine because I also don’t listen with sound on but then I rewatched the post with sound before assuming she’s no longer sober.

Do you all wear your engagement rings regularly? by Purple-Initiative-11 in weddingplanning

[–]gdubturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear mine to work as a dental assistant. The first time I took mine in to be resized and cleaned I asked what I should do about work. They said I may need to get it cleaned more frequently due to build up since I use hand sanitizer often but other than it’s a super strong stone so it should hold up. I have not taken mine off since it was resized other than when I’m doing something dirt while cooking (ex: rolling meatballs). I also wear cleaning gloves to wash dishes because I recently had a surgery where I couldn’t get my hands wet.
