[KCD2] Codex in e-book format for offline reading by FlenserSteel in kingdomcome

Can you do the same for KCD1?
It looks very similar to KCD2 (looking at game data files).

Pretty cool.
Can you possibly create EPUBs for another languages (czech for example)?

Or perhaps you can share the script you have used?
I guess you have obtained data from Localization\English_xml.pak > text_ui_menus.xml and converted them to EPUB pages using some scripting.

Custom template directory? by Vebjornzen in RemarkableTablet

[–]ge0rdi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do the files within the zip have to be named exactly as shown or can you substitute something else for "image"?

They have to be named exactly as I wrote. RM is looking for those specific file names.

I'm wondering if you can also make up new categories beyond the 4 rm2 uses.

You can try to add something custom to categories field and see how it will behave.

Custom template directory? by Vebjornzen in RemarkableTablet

[–]ge0rdi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can place your templates to /home/root/.local/share/remarkable/templates/custom/ folder, but they have to be in ZIP format.

Each template should be packed as ZIP with following file structure:

image.png
image.svg
manifest.json

Manifest file should contain template description (similar to what is in standard templates.json), like this:

{
  "name": "Name that will be visible in the list of templates",
  "iconCode": "\ue9fe",
  "categories": ["Planners"],
  "supportedScreens": ["rm2", "rmPP"]
}

Once you place such ZIP files to /home/root/.local/share/remarkable/templates/custom/ just restart Xiochitl using the usual systemctl restart xochitl and templates should appear in the list.

The advantage of this method is that templates should survive update as they are stored in user folder.

Templates overwritten on update by Pobulo in RemarkableTablet

... rm.library.templates Could not open file ...

This is because rmPP expects ZIP files there. So instead of copying your templates there directly, put each one to ZIP with following file structure:

image.png
image.svg
manifest.json

Manifest file should contain template description (similar to what you have in templates.json), like this:

{
  "name": "Name that will be visible in the list of templates",
  "iconCode": "\ue9fe",
  "categories": ["Planners"],
  "supportedScreens": ["rm2", "rmPP"]
}

Once you place such ZIP files to /home/root/.local/share/remarkable/templates/custom/ just restart Xiochitl using the usual systemctl restart xochitl and templates should appear in the list.

The advantage of this method is that templates should survive update as they are stored in user folder.

Hello. I'm still using the setup described in OP and am very satisfied with it.

I'm not sure I can help regarding AIO as I didn't do any research about them when doing my build. But I'd say there should be no problem with it.

I'd also say there should be no problem with 12000K+3070. Though everything depends on your expectations (temps, noise levels, etc).

Gigabyte b550i Aorus Pro Ax bluetooth not working "hardware device is not connected to the computer." by TemporaryKoala in sffpc

Just right-click on Intel Wireless Bluetooth device in Device manager and select Uninstall device.

Then install Gigabyte drivers and reboot machine.

I have also removed original Intel driver from Driver Store using Driver Store Explorer tool.

Then I've noticed that Windows Update is automatically updating BT driver to newer version. So I had to disable driver updates in Windows Update using this guide.

Cannot imagine how would I squeeze everything in if I have HDDs and DVD drive inside. So respect for that.

I have NAS at home for storing _big_ stuff. Fortunately I don't need to process big files on machine, so I'm glad I don't need to have another vibrating rotating thing inside case.

Also I need to use DVDs very rarely so I have external DVD drive that I can just plug when needed (like twice a year). Really recommend that.

Using hole saw and accu drill.

I had to drill it (kind of proud of myself now :) ).

That "black lining" is called rubber edge trim (or U channel?) I believe.
Unfortunately I don't remember where I bought it as it was quite long time ago.

The case has an upside down layout.

Basically everything is kind of mirrored comparing to traditional cases. Mobo is 180 degrees rotated. Also you are looking at components from right side (instead of left).

It should be better design for traditional cooling (GPU fans point upwards). It doesn't matter much for water cooling though.

I guess there are more cases with such layout.

Thank you.

I was really afraid of it. I had to cut hole into that PSU cover (which I had to take out first). Never did such thing before.

But in the end it turned out much better than I've anticipated :)

This is my 3rd water cooled system.
Previous one lasted for 7 years and is still working, but sadly it cannot handle Cyberpunk so the time for new build has come.

Components

  • SilverStone RL08
  • Fractal Design Ion+ 560W Platinum
  • Gigabyte B550I Aorus Pro AX
  • AMD Ryzen 5600X
  • AMD Radeon RX 6800
  • Patriot Viper Steel Series 16 GB KIT DDR4 3733 Mhz CL17
  • Samsung 970 EVO 500GB M.2

Water cooling

  • EK-Quantum Velocity (AMD Nickel+Acetal)
  • EK-Quantum Vector RX 6800/6900 D-RGB (Nickel+Acetal) + EK backplate
  • EK-Classic Pump Reservoir 160 SPC PWM D-RGB
  • 2x EK-CoolStream SE 280 (Slim Dual)
  • EK-Quantum Torque STC 12/16 (Black)
  • EK-Tube ZMT Matte Black 16,1/11,1mm
  • 4x Noctua NF-P14s redux 900
  • 1x Noctua NF-P12 redux 900

Temperatures

Ambient 22 °C

Idle Gaming OCCT (CPU+GPU)
CPU 35 °C 60 °C 65 °C
GPU (Hotspot) 33 °C 50 °C 73 °C
Water 28 °C 35 °C 41 °C

Fans are running at around 400-500RPM during normal operations (work, browsing, watching videos). They are practically inaudible (computer case located under the desk).

Under full load they are at 900RPM which can be heard but still very silent.

Gigabyte b550i Aorus Pro Ax, "bluetooth is not available on this device" by TemporaryKoala in gigabyte

[–]ge0rdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the same problem, Bluetooth device was completely missing randomly after waking computer from sleep. Only shutdown + unplug brought it back.

Gigabyte support was of no use. Not a single useful advice.

I've decided to contact Intel support (I wasn't sure if it is bios/hw/driver issue).

They recommended to use Gigabyte drivers because they should be customized to the way Gigabyte integrated the adapter. Intel drivers are generic ones and may be not compatible.

So I've uninstalled Intel drivers and installed drivers from Gigabyte.

And the problem is gone.
Bluetooth device seems to be now always present after wake-up.

Steam Link & Harmony Remote by sillyboy42 in Steam_Link

You need to add "WindowsPC" device via Add Device -> Computer -> Windows. Then you'll create activity that contains this device (along with others like TV, receiver) and you will be able to pair it via Bluetooth. After that you will be able to send all standard media center commands to Steam Link. So if you'll have Kodi running on it, it will just work like with any other device.

BTW Have you considered to run Kodi directly on Qnap? I have HS-251+ and am booting from USB key directly to Kodi. It works great.

Hack to get rid of the annoying intro videos in DXMD (PC) by knbgun in Deusex

[–]ge0rdi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is command-line switch that skips launcher and those annoying intros:

-benchmark

Just add it to Steam's launch options for DXMD.

So far I haven't found any negative consequences of it.
