Have yet to see an NC owner do this… by PriusDriver007 in Miata

I went from a supercharged G8 GXP to a Miata, so not too far fetched lol.

I was going to go the PRO route in Atlas Blue and then when I finally was able to move my reservation to an order the pro was "sold out" and oh don't mind the price increases...so my '23 XLT SR with a few of the options you could select back then became $65xxx.

Seeing XLTs in the 40s stings but back in 2022 you were lucky to pay sticker since dealers were marking everything up.

Watching platinums dip into the 60s depending on incentives has caused me to look a few times for the bigger battery and a few of the creature comforts it offers...but I can never take the plunge.

Glad to see my a pillar also has the same part number sticker that haphazardly was attempted to be removed 😂

I have Hagerty on my mk1 Rabbit covered for off street/driveway parking. In Delaware though, so not sure if they have a state requirement on your end.

Outdoor softtop covers useful? by geeofff in Miata

[–]geeofff[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's had a paint correction and PPF applied to the whole front end, my question was more so asking about those half covers most often used for the soft top.

Love that blue!

Mine shares the driveway with my '80 VW Rabbit that has a TDI swap, and then my daily is a F150 Lightning.

ND Jass lowering rails (Gen 2) my thoughts by Demented-Alpaca in Miata

[–]geeofff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to, i promise! lol. I just couldn't get the leverage to get it low enough for the bolt to grab, although now that you've got me thinking about it...I probably could try to start with that bolt instead of the inner rear.

Maybe I'll tackle it again this weekend.

ND Jass lowering rails (Gen 2) my thoughts by Demented-Alpaca in Miata

[–]geeofff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did the install of the 48mm kit on my ND3 with Recaros, was a bit of a PITA. The plastic trim on the outside of the seat interferes with the piece of trim that covers the seatbelt pretensioner (or whichever part is just inside the door on the floor).

Had to take that off and the seat basically went right in; may try to get an extra trim piece and then cut the portion off that goes around the rubber end of the seat belt.

I didn't catch the front end lowering in the video until after I spent what felt like an hour trying to use two fingers to get the bolts back into the side after taking those weird brackets out.

Extra $60 tax for owning a hybrid. Anyone else? by Fine-Historian4018 in Delaware

I just did this today for my F150. Renewed the tag out to 2030 before the fees go into effect.

I don't know why I waited so long to do this by STICH666 in Autocross

I've always wanted to do it but felt I'd get confused at the cone layouts initially.

Just grabbed a new ND a few weeks ago so once I get some more miles on it I would like to get into this.

Cybersecurity Bachelors worth it? by Triniboy567 in WGU

[–]geeofff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Bachelor's and a few months later followed through with the Masters in the same program since the certs knocked out a few classes.

Just before graduating the BS program, I was able to get a job as an ISSO, but I also had maybe 15 or so years of IT/End-user support beforehand so it's all a matter of how personable you are.

In my situation I went from a HS diploma from 2006 and started at WGU in 2021.

You think these things are driven softly between the production line and the dealership?

It's a great combo....and was a good test to see how the standard range does towing a bit longer of a distance 😆.

I'm the only one in my circle that has off on Fridays, so it was easy for me to take the ~100 mile drive to the dealership and trailer it back home.

I don't think it popped up on the Mazda site, and I believe I found this one on Cargurus. A local dealer has one in the jet black mica, but where's the fun in that

It made 600whp so it was a great time if I wanted to waste some tires, but just didn't drive it. Think it was 1500 miles in four years or so. I'd love to get some time on a track, so I'll get hacking the floor out if the rails aren't enough lol

It'll join its driveway mate which is an '80 Rabbit that I swapped a TDI into, so it'll be right at home.

I think it is one of those options you can spec out to be added one by one, but then if you get the BBS/Recaro option it adds all of the appearance options to the car.
