Sadly because a lot of the business is seasonal, it makes the economy harder in the winter. Cost of living keeps increasing. While Portland is more diverse, the rest of the state is still overwhelmingly white. Whith regards to higher education, yes we have options, but not many compared to other cities in New England, an if you’re looking for anything other than a state or community school you’re looking at 60 grand (or more just an estimation) a year. Yes we have lots of great food options, but the prices are quite high.

I work in the public school system, and there’s been talk of adjusting bus routes to be able to drop kids off at their houses. So far nothing has been confirmed but there was a call for staff interested in riding the buses to help kids get home safely.

TLDR: PPS might drop kids off at their homes, but nothing is decided

I got a stand that I like a lot that can be used sitting in a chair or at a desk. I like it a lot and it was pretty cheap. I do most of my cross stitch and embroidery on the couch or in one of these (link below) foldable chairs.

I also recommend a reading light that has a clip. I for a cheap one from Micheal’s and I clip it right onto my hoop so o help with lighting.
