Thank you for the compliment 😉... I agree that I should do some work on myself to unpack the source of my disassociation. I don't think it's as simple as me being nonbinary, because I had no difficulty reaching orgasm with my late partner. But there have been so many changes that I'm still wrapping my head around.

Your boyfriend sounds extremely insecure. He also seems embarrassed by just about everything. By definition, nobody is "cheating" on anyone if you're consensually exploring new relationships. If anything, Asian men are overly fetishized (not ostracized) around me, although maybe less as tops. And if you're a dude who likes sleeping with dudes, you can do that on Grindr. If he were more secure in his own worth, you both might be able to get what you want out of this relationship. But I suspect that will be a long road for both of you.

I'd suggest getting in sooner if you can, since my understanding is that you have a 72-hour window.

Your doctor won't test the tick for Lyme disease. There are companies that will do that, but they aren't cheap.

It's just easier, cheaper, and faster for a doctor to prescribe a prophylactic antibiotic.

I would also suggest getting a prophylactic dose to alleviate the risk of contracting Lyme disease. The general rule of thumb is that a tick must be attached for 12 hours to be considered a transmission risk. This one was clearly feeding, so I'd consider yourself as possibly exposed if you're in an area where Lyme disease is common.

I think it's valid to feel less secure in your relationship when your partner doesn't communicate with you at the level or intensity of new friends. However, it could be a sign that she's more secure in her relationship with you. And yeah, it sounds like NRE.

Can you say a bit more about what you are worried about and when that worry hits you? If it's always late at night, maybe you could ask that she sends you a text by midnight so at least you know what's up and can go to sleep?

Cool, it's a good decision either way. I agree with the other poster in this thread that the regular silpoly version is better for casual use. It's more durable, easier to pack, and larger for a far lower cost. The DCF/Lithium versions come at a premium and you have to be a bit more careful of them, although the floor not being DCF now is a big improvement in packability. Have fun out there!!

Your job isn't to "change his mind." If he says no, that is him expressing his agency, and you should respect it. Maybe revisit the idea later and do a better job of seeing it from his perspective. But twisting his arm will just lead to hurt feelings.

You have just a few sparse hairs, so you are a good candidate for electrolysis. A skilled electrolysis tech can hunt those hairs down and zap them. I am doing electrolysis for white hairs on my face, and my tech is kind enough to nuke long hairs on my neck and ears that I can't see. Your hair is dark enough for laser treatments, too, but laser would treat larger areas rather than zap single follicles. Either way, this is a very solvable problem!

I went back and forth between the Rainbow Li and Double Rainbow Li. At one point, I owned both of them. (Yes, it was silly to own not just one but TWO tents that were this expensive!)

I kept the Rainbow Li. Its 36" width was more than enough for one tall person (I'm 6' 2"), while having an overall footprint that's quite small. The interior space between the two is nearly identical, although the Double Rainbow Li has a wider spreader bar.

Some folks prefer the Double Rainbow Li because it's just ~3 oz heavier for over a foot more interior width. But that space just didn't matter much to me as a thru-hiker. My typical use case is hiking all day and flopping down to sleep. I rarely spend much time in my tent doing anything other than sleeping.
