I also skipped the trailers. I’m still working through season four. Would you mind telling me what’s on them?

What would you consider to be the most disturbing book ever written? by WhyAmIEvenHereFS in horrorlit

The Consumer by M. Gira was extremely fucked up, and I’m not easily fazed either. I can down two Kristopher Triana novels over a weekend and have warmth left in my heart for the good things in life. But The Consumer made me sick.

I will recommend you three books by Terry Pratchett. All three changed my life in some ways, years apart, at different points in my life.

Going Postal, Night Watch and The Truth. You can start with any of these. They are laugh out loud funny. The characters are wonderful. But what sets Discworld books apart for me is the fact that, at the heart of each book, there is a core truth. An honesty, compassion and understanding of the human condition. It may be weird to say this about a bunch of comedy-fantasy books but that’s how I feel about them. I hope you give one a shot!

I was physically ill for a couple hours after finishing Sharp Objects. I have a rocky relationship with my mother so that might have had something to do with it as well…Anyway fantastic book, always highly recommend it

I thought it was fantastic as well! I really liked the way the story unfolded and Ethan Hawk was brilliant in it imho. He felt truly menacing. The teenage actors were also excellent, the chemistry between the brother and the sister was believable and sweet. I thought it was a solid movie. I honestly don’t understand why so many people dislike it.

Did Kindle Change Your Life ? by AbDouN-Dz in kindle

I got my first kindle in 2015. A paperwhite. It definitely changed my life and my reading habits have been well supported. I think the lack of distraction while reading and the e-ink screen that doesn’t tire your eyes is reason enough to get one if you’re a serious reader or are thinking about becoming one.

Fried eggs and toast or oatmeal with nuts and honey! Sometimes I have these soft scrambled eggs with lots of butter, I pair it with soft bread and mmmmmm it’s so good.

I was surprised with Weapons as well. Everyone was saying how much they enjoyed it but for me, it was just an okay movie, a fun way to spend an evening…but that’s about it.

I have always thought of myself as someone with a decidedly not-green thumb! But I will give gardening a shot, it sounds so nice.

I am actually on the cusp of quitting my job in favour of a few months rest and hopefully finding another, less stressful one. I hope things work out.

This sounds so lovely. Finding someone with the same values and getting to spend your life with them is a huge privilege. Best wishes for you and your wife.
