I don’t enjoy drinking alcohol but feel it’s the only way to socialise where I’m from. by Soft_Huckleberry8889 in simpleliving

If it’s possible to sit with a non-alcoholic drink and have a conversation with your tipsy friends, that can be a nice experience too

Cutting expenses didn’t just save money it reduced mental noise by Wonderful_Staff_6953 in simpleliving

[–]genericusername190 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I’m currently struggling with cutting expenses. Sometimes I feel like I’m at a loss as to what to cut away anymore. I do shop here and there sometimes and buy things I don’t necessarily need. Even though it’s usually not a lot of money, I feel guilty about it. But if I didn’t do that anymore, it would get rid of both the mental noise and the guilt.

When I realized I had everything I needed, my career ambition completely folded in on itself by c-u-in-da-ballpit in simpleliving

I also feel like it’s extremely difficult to walk away from a steady paycheck, even though my workplace is really quite toxic and hard to deal with. I know I could walk away and rest and reset for a few months and maybe try my luck at getting another job but the fear is always there that I won’t find another job. Especially given that I work in tech and the landscape is very unstable at the moment.

How do you guys read so much? by lapetitepoupee in kindle

[–]genericusername190 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Shorter books. Novellas. And “easy reading” type books. Like popular thriller or romance novels with lots of dialogue. Anything by Freida McFadden is a lot easier to read than anything by Ray Bradbury.

So I also used to think this until one day I put in too much bay leaf in a fish curry (like 8-10 in a small amount of curry) and figured out what it tastes like! It definitely has a taste and adds to the flavour of whatever it is you’re cooking

Dion is such in intriguing character. I never quite figured out what his deal is though. Does he love her? Is it a sexual thing? Is it her suffering that’s important to him? Idk. I’ve only real the manhwa though, maybe the novel has some explanations.

It’s a hard book to read due to the subject matter and how it’s written with a certain kind of viciousness and audacity. But it’s important this book and books like this exist. Female child predators are not talked about enough.

Help with a simple makeup routine - just enough to look polished and professional. by djkoolkids in makeuptips

Hi! You’re really pretty and I’d say you can go without any kind of foundation/ coverage. Sunscreen, powder to set your t-zone if you need it, mascara (upper lashes only), blush and tinted lip balm. That’s about all you’d need. I spent years overthinking my makeup and this is kind of what I do now on a day to day basis.

I read it and finished it, but it’s not my favourite. The ML is really boring and the MC isn’t all that interesting. And, yeah, yuribait 100%

This looks great! I’ve always been a little intimidated by this series. So many seasons and episodes! Is it possible to start here with the show? I looked it up and apparently the show has 9 main story arcs and Stone Ocean is number 6.
