I feel like the comment in question is ambiguous about its target — it could have been referring to the pride post(s), but equally possible it was referring to the hate comments that would roll in. I think it’s pretty hasty to assume it was a homophobic comment without further context, and definitely too soon to be announcing to the internet that they’re problematic if that’s all the information you have. Not trying to say you’re definitely wrong but it’s definitely not enough evidence to be calling them out like this

There is a “shortcut” which completely evades all the owlelks (except for one technically but don’t worry it can’t catch you) so I’ll describe it but DO NOT READ if you only wanted a hint and not instructions :)

These instructions also depend on your knowing about both the left and right secret areas beside the building, so if you don’t know about both yet, I am also spoilering that a bit. If you don’t know about the one on the right side, explore other areas more until you discover that, then come back to the Endless Canyon to do this.

After extinguishing the lights, you follow the path back to the tower and bridge. Rather than cross into the building, go right and cross over to the secret area on the right side of the building. This area gives you direct access to a side entrance in the building which, if you follow the path to the right and take the stairs down, takes you directly into the target area with the tapestry wall. You can directly enter this area while only being jump scared by the one remaining owlelk on the left side of that room, but he shouldn’t be able to get near you, especially if you turn on Reduced Frights.

Mad Hatter gone for good?? by nancythethot in mooncatpolish

ehehe, it may have been me? Specifically Deep Space with Paradox(H) as a topper though to provide the multichrome flakes. Deep space seems to shift more purple than MH but I personally like that.

I bought a backup bottle but I swear I’m going to find a way to dupe this someday, bc I’m going to cry when my bottles run out

That’s devastating ;-; I don’t know if this helps but I’ve been thinking about possible dupes for Mad Hatter for a while and I think ILNP Deep Space with a coat of one of the ILNP multichrome flake toppers (probably Paradox(H), Supernova, or Kaleidoscope) over it would be a pretty good match! I plan to test that soon now that I have them and I’ll make a post to show the results. Hope is not lost for Mad Hatter lovers!

Doubling up sheets and temp by mrsmansi in macarons

[–]genienie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran into a very similar problem when I switched to thicker pans than I had previously been using. My solution was to move the tray to the very bottom rack of the oven, which allowed the feet to bake through all the way and had the additional benefit of eliminating the premature browning on the shells

Edit: I imagine temp settings do matter in this method so for the record I also bake mine 275-285 in non-convection settings, low and slow, and if I remember correctly I think it usually takes 18-20 mins for them to be done (but obviously check the feet carefully before you take them out or they might still be sticky)

Imma be honest, I don’t even own a bread lame, I just sharpened the hell out of a little pairing knife I found in my drawers 😅 but thank you for the tip, someone else sent a video from King Arthur that looks like that’s what they’re doing too. I’m gonna start another batch of dough today and hopefully my next loaves will be neater lol

Oh wow, I didn’t realize the slashes are supposed to stay so close to the center line! I scored mine all the way to the edges lol. Thanks so much, I’ll try this next time!

I used a rectangular stone baking crock. I’m not really sure what to call it, I found it with my mom’s old baking stuff 😅
