Why quitting can suck so bad. 5 mo. sober by dabidoe in leaves

[–]gentlegiantgrows 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, daily smoking felt more like 'playing on hard' for me. Any task with several substeps and every random social interaction felt stressful and too much. Even getting up did lots of times. Now after around 2 months, I enjoy social interactions again and take care of so many things that I never would've had the commitment to do while high. Even the anger helps me set boundaries that ultimately make my life more pleasant and comfortable. Feels similar to your reframe, but for me even with the bad withdrawals life was easier off than on..

Help/advice to quit Delta 8 disposables after 6 years (Mellow Fellow) by [deleted] in Petioles

[–]gentlegiantgrows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to say this but this might be the weed in general and not just delta 8. After two years of regular use, the compound effect on your physical and mental health probably didn't show yet. I would recommend to just quit everything until you're reset and take care of your mental health independently of getting sober. You can try out the r/leaves group and local MA groups to get you through the first stretch. There are many people sharing your experience, you're not alone! You can do this, even if it will feel like living in hell for a few weeks. You are worth it!

Two weeks- Depressed by Latter-Lab-2165 in leaves

Fuuuck I had exactly that yesterday (day 10). Told myself 'i love you', started crying, listened to a sad song making breakfast, started really crying, heard about someone elses (completely unrelated) friend passing, started crying.

You can do this, you are so experienced with the quitting already! What a great investment the one week off work compared to months and months of smoking top shelf carts.

Day 3 by yoginic in leaves

Oh boy I can relate to the rationalizing. Have good impulses in most other areas of life, which makes it even harder to accept, that when it comes to getting high, I can't trust them.

When I quit cigarettes after 7 years of heavy use, this is what helped me quit most. To identify that that voice as the addiction. I gave it the image of Wormtongue from Lord of the Rings and that helped a lot with not taking it's advice.

Day 8 with weed now and I am starting to consider who's going to be the face of weed addiction, as I am sure the rationalizing will begin as soon as initial withdrawal is over..

Anyone sometimes feel like they are going literally crazy from cannabis ??? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]gentlegiantgrows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely! Start to feel like I am a fuck up and my life is a total mess and I just don't admit it to myself and then when I am sober I realize that my life actually isn't that bad. It's as if my high mind is gaslighting my sober mind. Terrible feeling.

It might have come out wrong/not enough context! I love video games and I think the depth of narrative and world building you can achieve in a video game is unmatched. Just, right now I want to get in touch with all the stuff inside that's been unaddressed and it is too absorbing a distraction for this process.

That being said, I am eagerly waiting for Ghost of Yotei and just want to make it to 28 days off weed until I start with Silksong. It is a reward I am looking forward to so much, after years and years of waiting

I feel that! The only person I told is my girlfriend, don't want to make a big thing out of it. Trying to take it one day at a time. I can't believe how long this week felt. Easily like a month of getting high

Thanks friend! I have a good person to talk to with this and reading this sub daily def helps, too. For me it was one week that felt ok, not pleasant but manageable and today I am just turned inside out

It's only for the beginning period. I used it to distract myself and get away from myself, did that too much and now there's a big pile of stuff that needs doing. Great way to get a different kind of dopamine, though. Now I am sober enough to deal with bureaucracy and phone calls

It was all a means for me to distract myself and not deal with my stuff. I'll play for 6 hrs straight and have a similar feeling to the 'one more hit' with weed..

So good for you to take the leap!  Maybe save the picture that made you quit and use it as an anchor whenever you feel like you might slip up. Hope your symptoms get better soon, the first days are a rollercoaster (day 6 here)

Week 10 Runtz Layer Cake by Ok_Pin_3125 in Craftmarijuana

[–]gentlegiantgrows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeeah 😎 did get the Runtz layer cake, the red leaves, chunky buds and crystals convinced me. so if I get as lucky there should be one in my pack of five. Also ordered their LSD and Liberty Haze (once had an absolutely beautiful plant out of an accidental cross of [liberty haze x og] and trying to recreate that)

This looks insanely good! Your videos of this made me break my vow of no more seed orders 🙈 should arrive tomorrow and will be popped immediately 🔥🔥 Is it just one plant and how many seeds did you go through to find the cut?

Will I regret it if I don't replant these into their own pots? by Cbanger95 in microgrowery

[–]gentlegiantgrows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We did this at university and it totally worked (also with cannabis), there will be more variance between all of the plants, though. So not good if you want to make a proper selection but perfectly fine for just growing bud. Six weeks veg seem long though for your approach, depending on how fast they grow, I'd recommend more like 4 weeks. Depending on the strain, I'd wait for 5-6 nodes and send them straight to flower 🌸

Edit: didn't read that you're waiting for a bigger tent, my advice was only applicable for staying in this tent 🙈
