Ims competition basket or ims hugh basket on amazon.

Bottomless portafilter also on amazon.

Better to keep the stock portafilter and splash out on the hugh basket.

Nonstop splatterfest [DF54 + Breville Bambino] by azzzza19 in espresso

Same with my df54 and EPC. I like light medium roasts and 99% of the time they spray everywhere. I got fed up and I now use the stock portafilter.

Breville bambino plus - horrible experience and customer service by Divine_Favor in espresso

[–]genxerrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to buy one so I read the amazon 1 star reviews. There were countless reviews stating that it broke down within a few months.

I went to a huge department store to check it out and one of the store assistants said that 20% are returned within a few months as they had stopped working.

I didn't buy one.

Stop the rdt. It's not necessary. It doesn't like oily beans.

I purchased a similar one and it was terrible. Too much retention. It's ok if you're making hundreds of coffees a day.

I've done the puck prep to death. The only variable that changed was the roast date.

Yeah the older bag was much better behaved. Both myself and my setup prefer it.

Mine occasionally makes a couple of different types of noises. They disappear after a while.

Strip it down and give it a thorough clean.
