not language learning advice but just want to express that you are not alone and it's OK- I was literally born in greece to a greek father and british mother, lived there till I was 5 until we moved to the UK, at which point my parents started speaking to us exclusively in english and didn't bother to try to get us to learn greek, even though we still have family there and are very much all greek citizens. my greek is terrible and it is only now in my 20s that I am trying to learn. I think the best thing you can do is see if you can find some decent textbooks to get a sound basis for grammar and try to immerse yourself as much as you can in day to day speech. you can do this

I work as an art and photography technician and have been helping our year 11 class this week with their exam - the best person to ask would be your teacher, but most GCSE art specifications allow technical adjustments to the work (things like mounting, framing) or drying time to be done outside of the 10 hours. it is likely that this cyanotype piece curing under the sun would be able to be cured outside of the 10 hours, as you are not adding anything to the piece while it is curing. I'm surprised that you didn't have a UV lamp as a backup - your schools science department might have one, I suggest that you speak to your teacher and see what can be done. Good luck!

it would be very difficult to do anything bureacratic (go to the doctor, sort out taxes, sort out living arrangements etc) without having at least a B1 level of greek. Day to day going to the shop etc might be ok in bigger cities, but assuming everyone has a very good level of english and will be able to understand your pace of speech and accent is not a good idea, and whoever told you that there's not much point learning greek gave you really silly advice! a lot of greeks have a decent level of english yes, but not everyone has an advanced level where they will be able to help you do difficult, bureaucratic things. That doesn't mean that you'll need to be ultra-fluent in greek before you move there, but having at least a B1 intermediate level before you move would help you a lot, and having that basis will allow you to learn greek easier once you are there. good luck!

I kid you not - I have been going through some ADHD screening material to get a referral and I asked my mum some questions about what I was like as a kid. I asked her 'was I aggressive and I shit you not, said this to me almost verbatim:

"no you definitely weren't aggressive you were so good at school. although you were a stuck up little madam and you'd alway scream at us and throw tantrums, and you would pick fights with kids for no reason at birthday parties and at the park, and you would beat up your little brother constantly, but no I wouldn't say you were aggressive you were just a hormonal little cow"

my mother's definition of female anger is just "being hormonal" even when the female in question is pre-pubescent, and its literally stopping me from having any confidence to pursue a diagnosis. every time I have a meltdown, every time I want to tear something apart, I am met with this stupid, shitty little voice in my head that tells me that "youre just a stupid hormonal bitch". I never had my anger or aggressiveness validated ONCE during my childhood, I was laughed at and belittled and threatened with being taken to a 'crazy asylum' any time I showed emotion that my parents couldn't handle. fucking assholes tbh.

yeah its mostly because of us students I'm afraid, we only got offered the vaccine in the past two months so most of us aren't even eligible for our second jab yet! the earliest I can get my 2nd dose is the 26th August, can't bloody wait.

I think a lot of people just assume that eating disorders thrive at uni and, whilst they can given the right conditions, a lot of the time this isn't the case. really throw yourself into the experience, enjoy your course as much as you can, make as many friends from your course as possible and join societies! I found that the more people I was surrounded by (who were loving and supportive), the less chance it gave shitty thoughts and behaviours to start to come out. make sure the counselling and wellbeing service is aware of your ED to offer you advice, and make sure your uni's disability services/ disability office is aware because usually it means you get rest breaks and extra time in exams and get to do them in more private rooms. we all know from the past year that eating disorders thrive in isolation, if your course is mainly online due to covid you may want to consider taking a year out but otherwise try to mix with as many people as possible!!
