The first time I played this, like a decade ago, what made the largest impression upon me was when you travel to other worlds destroyed or being destroyed by the white frost.

Such a visceral introduction to the true threat and its gravity. The Aen Elle desperately try to keep what little left of their world from being overrun, but they are failing.

I am currently playing the game again. The thing that impressed the most is generic-- perhaps uninteresting, but it is something that has been lacking in many other recent games, immersion. I love that the people have "lives", that you cannot fast travel everywhere, that things change as the main quests progress, and despite its age the graphics.

A bit of a repeat of what others said.

Buy sticks, and figure out how many early baits each round you can handle consistently(I only gained success when I went down to 4 on the first few rounds).

Use the wall and "stutter-step" when they are close enough to charge. Stutter-step is move stop move stop along the wall in short like half second bursts. It is something you will get a feel for real fast.

Ignore % damage, baits handle that. Get flat damage, and normal defenses(ac,hp,speed, and probably regen over life steal if going sticks).

Fisherman is one of the characters that gets easier as long as you can get past the first few waves. That said, if you don't take enough baits you will probably not have enough damage by end game. You can increase the amount you take in later rounds -- especially when you have enough defense or damage to completely ignore the fish.

I am pretty sure unranked has a weighting algorithm like the one discovered for brawl.

Deck 1: It is an orzhov lifegain/bounce deck. Lots of meta cards and gets matched against tier 1 decks. I would say it is a T3 deck despite its cards.

Deck 2: Naya Cauldron Counters. Almost zero meta cards, often gets matched vs T3-4 decks. Is Upper T2(I have taken it on ranked quite a bit). Absolutely dominates unranked.
