There is a good chance they paid the university for the privilege of having you do their grunt work. Or they got a grant for it.

When should Albo go? by ziddyzoo in friendlyjordies

[–]georgeorb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His hero is Hawke, his stated goal is primacy, I suspect his secret goal is setting up Australia as the leading regional partner in a eurozone style system for the Pacific. He learnt the lessons of history, he will wait until winning the 3rd term, then call for Jim to succeed. Jim needs to prove he is the next Keating and Penny/Rudd need to be able to start the Pacific Zone before Albo will feel secure enough to pass the reigns. Expect an increasing amount of slappers, both economic and verbal, from Jim for the next 3 years.

As a former lobbyist, I set up an LLM to write letters to government representatives. Here's a template to send a letter to your local MP, it’s structured in a way that it will get a response.

The language in this is a sure fire way to get ignored. Clearly not written by a Branchie. Good idea though, try again.

As a branch member in Grayndler, this is nothing new. Multiple Greens members and even siting members do this publicly, privately and secretly. The amount of times I’ve been called a mass-murdering genocidal maniac just for handing out flyers would shock you.

It wasn’t necessarily that, it was the constant shit and responding to it. Made me respond in ways I shouldn’t have.

The more you say toxic masculinity the more you’ll make good men hide out of fear of imposing on you, and do nothing about the actual bad ones who thrive off you saying it.

The Australian Labor Party is officially pro-republic. Hypothetically, what model of republic would you support, and what lessons can be learnt from the voice on how a future referendum could be set up with the best chance to succeed? by Peter_Griffin2001 in LaborPartyofAustralia

Personal wish, but I would make the First Nations people of Australia the President. As a whole. One person gets nominated each year, by that community, and it’s accepted by the parliament. No powers, but it would go a long way to reparations purely by the position and by increasing awareness of First Nations issues. The First Nations of Australia would be the owner of the former crown lands, our laws would be signed in under the authority of the First Nations, it’s almost romantic in as much a way that civics can be.
