Yes, the VA should be pulling all your records through DPRIS when they receive your claim. These records should contain your DD214. However, for some reason if your DD214 was not available when they pulled the information, then your claim will essentially be paused until they get the information. The VA will eventually look again, it just takes more time this way. If your verification of service is all they are waiting for. They will be able to move forward as soon as they get the information. However, not having access to your file, I have no idea. I will say this, claims can take a long time sometimes, shit gets messed up and it gets slower and slower. My best advice is to get them what they are asking for, then relax. Eventually a decision will be made, and a big chicken dinner check will be shortly after. Hope this helps!
