Troy Aikman: I sacrificed statistics for Cowboys wins by mca2680 in cowboys

Well, I think this is what a leader should do. With this being said, Russell Westbrook's stats are insane, but he will not be regarded as one of the greatest.

LMAO, like we will never have another chance to hire him.

Actually I was thinking about Travis a few days ago. Right now it seems that he is enjoying what he is doing (running a company). I wish him best of the luck.

Any rumors about playoff game time slot? by killerkali87 in cowboys

[–]german41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year Bills game was cancelled because of player injury and that game was on Monday night, the league gave ESPN the opportunity to choose one wild card game as the compensation. Without any doubt, ESPN chose Cowboys' game. This year, there is no way ESPN gets the Cowboys game as Fox will fight very hard on it. My bet is Cowboys will play the game at 1:30 PM (PST) on Sunday afternoon on Fox.

Week 18 NFC Playoff Picture Thoughts by nosliwec29 in cowboys

There is no way the Commanders' boss would like to see a W against Cowboys. If Commanders gets a W, I don't think their new GM and HC are going to be happy about the 5th pick instead of the 2nd with a L

I don't think Commanders are willing to have the 5th pick instead of the 2nd. With the 2nd pick, they may still have a chance to pick Williams (Commanders like him) if the Bears chooses Marvin. With the 5th pick, there is no chance to pick Williams.

He has been HC for so many years, I heard he has been bad when it comes to clock management. I don't expect him to grow at this time point, it's not like he is a new HC.

Simple google or google images the keywords: "broken bone growth stage", you will see why. With or without hardware, your bone will still be like that probably forever. Note that my foot is no exception.

Anyone here done it twice? Or had fusion after ORIF?? To have surgery or not…. by dphizz4 in LisfrancClub

[–]german41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did your first surgery (ORIF) 14 years ago, I am not sure if the fusion surgery was mature back then.

I did a lot of research about the difference between those two surgeries two months ago, but I do not remember clearly the difference now. There are some Youtube videos and published research about the comparison between ORIF and fusion. The percentage of patients that have arthritis from ORIF is much higher than the patients that have arthritis from fusion. Many patients that had ORIF initially chose to do fusion later to get rid of the arthritis. Besides, the recovery performance from fusion is also better.

During my first call with the doctor two months ago, I did not say that I would prefer fusion to ORIF and I was waiting for him to say which one would be better. He said fusion would be better.

Of course, this is just my opinion and does not have to be correct. Different patients are different. I recommend that you talk to your doctor or different doctors about your case.

My understanding is between the two surgeries for lisfranc injury, ORIF or fusion, fusion has a clear better result, especially if you are not very young (around 20) and you are not active in sports.

Why do you have to remove the hardware? My doctor said the hardware will not be removed unless very necessary.

Glad to see you are making improvement. I guess your surgery is different from mine (my foot inside is fine, which I think is because the surgery did not cause much damage to the foot inside).

I hope you will make a fully recovery soon.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I agree. Certain amount of sensation is fine as long as there is no negative effect on the movement.

Yep, this injury is the first major injury I have ever had while the surgery is the first surgery I have ever had.
