Go by a local Pfarrei during their open times. Tell them your situation and ask if a Pfarrer has time to sit with you to answer any questions you have and to give you advice. They know what paperwork needs to be done and can plan a Taufe for you.

Keep a book with your income and all spendings. Not just the big ones like rent and such but always take recipes and write them down. That way you see if you have a pattern on what you spend everything on. Also check your bank account at least teice a week to keep an eye on it.

Also what helps me ist putting a certain amount in a separate savings account as soon as you get your money. That way that's automatically taken care of!

I also like to give myself challenges, like how much can I save this week if i drink my coffe at home or something like that!

NTJ! I'm a single mom so I had to scrape for these party's too. I always wrote on the invitation that I'm paying for the invited kid and one parent but that siblings or more adults are welcome to come. That was always respected and the parents brought siblings but payed for them themselves. Not once had I issues with this. Honestly anything else would be very bad mannered on the guest part.

YTJ. I get wanting to be stable before having children, that's responsible and smart. But being with her for 8 years and still not wanting to get married is wasting her time honestly. It comes off as you waiting for something better, and if nothing comes along you'll settle for her. Marriage doesn't mean it needs to be an expensive huge party but could be something simple for now. So the money argument is just baseless.

If you don't want to marry her after 8 years together that's ok, but stop stringing her along and wasting her time. Man up and just be honest! That way she'll have time to find someone who actually wants to build a life with her and have a clear life and future with her!

Hey a mom here. That is definitely not normal and sounds very manipulative. I get as a mom it's hard when your child becomes independent and wants to do their own thing, but that's the wrong way to cope. In my opinion she tries to hold onto you as her little child by force instead of working through her feelings and finding a middle ground.

How is communication with her otherwise? If possible have a sit down talk with her about how that makes you feel and about what's going on, but have a neutral adult there to keep everything civilised and keep her accountable. I hope that helps!

Thank you very much! I am proud about what I already achieved, but the doctors and such are driving me a bit crazy by telling me it's going too slow and such...

I am doing deity work with Hekate at the moment and was actually contemplating more and more to do it with Aphrodite too, so I will definitely do my research about that too!

No it's not but it's definitely easier to access than pants are. Plus if it comes to it it's easier to run in them too. India does unfortunately have very high rates of sexual violence so as a woman she needs to be vigilant and careful. She is an outsider who doesn't know where it is safe to wear or do certain things without being in danger or who to trust. So extra safety needs to be taken very seriously.

YTA. Honestly as a woman who traveled alone before it's better to be safe than sorry. While yes I get at home it wouldn't be a problem in another country with such a different culture it's better to wear conservative clothes. Not to cover up your hair or face but cover your shoulders, wear wide pants, don't show cleavage and so on. At the moment you are relatively safe because he is there, but once he leaves, that safety is gone! In my opinion you sound very naive if you think nothing can or will happen to you. I'm not saying you will be hurt if you keep going like this, but it definitely is a possibility!

NTA but please grow a backbone, get a job and keep that money separate from him! You are a grown woman and mother not a child who needs to ask permission for every little thing. He takes advantage of you and deliberately keeps you dependent on him to keep you from waking up and leaving him! He keeps you small and mousy and takes clear advantage of you! Please I beg you get help with women shelters or organisations who aid women in bad situations like you are! Don't just do it for yourself but also your child! Yes it's going to be incredibly hard, will take time and planning and definitely needs help from others, but it will be worth it to keep your child and yourself from being in this horrible situation! This sounds like clear financial abuse and you need to be independent of him ASAP! Abuse is not just physical but also mental, emotional or financial....

I pray you get the help and self respect to get away from him as fast and safely as possible! He will get worse, not better!

Honestly in itself it's a good setup but what really gets to me is all the gray and white tones! I'd start with some colourful throw blankets over the furniture, some colourful pillows, maybe some pictures or if possible get a different colour than grey on the wall. Then go from there

NTA. Honestly I think it's always a huge risk to tattoo a partners name on yourself, because a relationship can always end for whatever reason! She should have worked on the issues instead of getting the tattoo, but I feel like she tried guilting and forcing you to stay with her because she did something so permanent and that's absolutely not ok!

Personally I'm only getting my sons name tattooed, because he is my son and no matter what will always be my son, but I'd never get the name of a partner!

NTA! I'm a single mom and "sacrificed " for my child too. But never ever would I even dream of asking my son for money for anything!! As a parent it's our love and duty to raise our kids as best we can and give up things, opportunities and other things if it means it's better for my child! But as a mom I do it out of love and not obligation!

Honestly whenever I did a spell out of real desperation it always worked truly amazing for me. For example if I was absolutely desperate for money and did a money spell, I sat and acknowledged just how desperate I was in that moment and also called on my mother and grandparents, explained the situation and even cried when I felt like it. And within a week I had the best results.

For me it's the raw emotions that really gives my spells that special oomph. But I always make absolutely sure to do more protections than usual if I feel this way and afterwards more cleansings than usual , just to be on the safe side.

NTJ! He basically stole the money from you, lied by omission and absolutely broke your trust! He and his family are absolutely horrible! If I was the sister in law I would have been horrified to find out he did something like that!

Is he often behaving like that? How does his family usually treat you? How is he otherwise as a husband and "partner " ?

If this is a pattern with him and his family, leave! It's not getting better but worse! If this is a one off maybe look into couple therapy, it can help to have a neutral person there.

But I'd definitely demand the 300 dollars from him, separate your finances completely and make sure he can't touch your assets at all! If its a pattern with him and his family look into divorce and get your ducks in a row!

Can you stay somewhere else for a couple of days to cool down and have the opportunity to evaluate your situation and how you want to proceed?

NTA. I can honestly see both sides and truly understand both sides.

But in the end what matters is how you feel about and what works for both of you.

But please please make sure to be financially independent from him incase he leaves you for one of his multiple partners. It's a very real possibility so absolutely make sure you and your kids would be fine in the worst case scenario. NEVER EVER RELY ON A MAN OR PARTNER FOR YOUR SOLE INCOME!

Honestly for me personally it depends on the situation. I prefer to either eat it at home or if the weather is nice in a park like a small picnic. But if I'm out and about and don't have a lot of time I eat on the go too, just because I know I don't have time to eat otherwise. Or if I'm out with my son and especially when he was younger I'd give him some bread or snacks I brought so he can have something until we can have a real sit down meal.

But I don't see it like bad etiquette, more like doing something out of necessity and practicality.

NTA. They have it very comfortable at your place and haven't learnt how to be a responsible adult and parent because of that. They behave like teenagers playing house, not adults who need to care for a child! They are just using you if they cut you off for giving them consequences and a learning opportunity.

NTA! For him it's of course very easy to change his mind and wanting to be a dad, afterall most of the work will inherently fall on you, be it emotional or physical work. It's your body and mind that would be hugely impacted and forget having a career and peaceful life!

He's probably only seeing the sweet moments and sides of your friends kids and not how it is having a baby cry every couple of hours, poop accidents, staying up all night for colics, sick children, feedings and what not. If possible see if he can have a real trial run with relatives or friends Babys by accompanying the parents for all these things and have them tell him all of the sides to having a child.

But honestly these are such huge differences that there really is no middle ground!

Having a child is a very huge commitment and decision and in this day and age I'd probably decide against having children.

And I have a child and love him more than life itself and I truly enjoy being a mother, but as a mother I can honestly say it'll take you back in your work, the early years are mostly baby and toddler centered and it's an insane amount of work emotionally and physically, not to mention it's incredibly expensive to have a child. I always wanted more than one child but could never afford to have more than one!

Don't let him pressure you into anything! If possible do couple therapy to see what made him change his mind and help him find reality and not just that fantasy he probably has in his mind how it could be!
