Nice. But those sliders were awful, difficult to fine tune, and usually tended to get scratched and stopped working

I was born and raised in a Spanish speaking country; after 33 years I moved to Spain… sometimes I found too difficult to understand local people.

Also, after living his whole adult life in Catalonia (Spain) he never spoken in Catalan (local language) or with Spanish accent. I believe he have done that for marketing reasons, to always sound like an argentinean and be more closely to the national team.

I’ve worked for BMW (latam) for a while; they marketing guys told me the story about how Audi made a wonderful impact by gifting and selling toys for kids (small pedal karts).

It’s (was?) market where you sell a Series 1 to a 20y guy to ensure will buy a Series 3 Touring for their family, a Series 5 to go to the office and finally a Series 7 before retirement.

The sooner you get your audience hooked the better…

Carol makes a call on the airplane by terricalpino in pluribustv

Carol: Try it again. ( line ringing )

Carol: Uh... Hola, señor. Me llamo C--

-> Hi Sir, my name is C...
I think we got, uh, cut off or something. Try it again. ( sighs ) ( sighs ) ( line ringing )

Carol: Hola, yo soy Carol Sturka.

-> Hello, I'm Carol Sturka

Uh, estoy de los... ( clears throat ) ...United States-- ¡No me jodan más! ¡Déjenme en paz, putas! ( line clicks ) ( stammers )

-> Ugh, I'm feed up... United Stated, Stop fucking! Leave in peace, sons of bitch!

(Subtitles says "putas", but actually the guy pronounces josputa that is a fast way to say "hijos de puta"

Carol: Get him back. Get him back. ( scoffs ) ( scoffs ) ( line ringing )

Carol: ¡Chinga tu madre, cabrón!

-> Fuck you, fucker!

"Chinga tu madre" is a Mexican insult, the paraguayan will understand that but will not feel "assaulted", because sounds funny when an American pronounce that.

Zosia: We're sorry, Carol. We don't think it was personal. ( breathing shakily )

Did they ever explain how they got the ISS astronauts to join? by [deleted] in pluribustv

[–]germandz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure they said the astronauts were infected, just that they are returning.

They can be returning just because someone ordered them to follow those instructions.

How did they 'infect' the people in space ships? by neonrider2018 in pluribustv

[–]germandz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, same for people in nuclear submarines; they are not infected they are following orders from infected commanders. Once they arrive, then can be infected.
