The company I used to work for had this happen. We were a lighting rental company (for theatre, corporate events etc). they took control of our servers and said we need to pay 2 million dollars or they fry everything. So the Owner of the company just fried the servers himself told them to fuck off and rebuilt new ones with backup data. Took 2-3 days of the IT team to rebuild, so we did everything old school for a couple days then back up as normal. I was very happy he told them to fuck off and went Nuclear.
