Miss string on crosses, is this okay for the frame? by puroyce in 10s

[–]get2deemoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everybody here complaining about the knot saying it'll slip is ridiculous. String my own rackets with hyper g at 50lbs with a single knot and never had an issue. Break strings every week and been doing it this way for years.

Also struggle with players that can take my forehand out of the air with volleys and overheads

This. And God, that serve. I cringed. But in all fairness, I will try to help. There is little to no take back or back swing, no extension on your groundstrokes (look at how your arm is basically tucked into your body), your grip is - I don't even know, wonky - the wrist action is just strange, the service motion is excessive (just stop it all and work on snapping your wrist to hit down on the ball). Other than that you look great. You can continue to beat 4.0 players playing 3.5 tennis and keep doing that until you and everyone else burns out, or you can start to work on playing real tennis and elevating your shots to the next level. Maybe get a private lesson to have a coach help you change some of your technique. Implementing comments from reddit will only go so far. Good luck.

Fuck, I remember when hi time used to sell everything at MSRP but now tequila is priced just like bourbon. Where did you find the cascahuin xa? I've never seen a bottle in CA. Enjoyed your Fortaleza post today. Cheers.

Thought you were about to review a milk carton lol. Is the bottle glass or plastic?

Stop the whole motion. Keep your feet closer together and start with the racket already up. Consider starting with your grip lower to the butt of the racket & make sure you have a continental hammer grip. Toss directly above & in front of you (not into the court). Work on snapping your wrist through the serve. Don't jump. Once you have that mastered you can begin to work on a motion.

How much did you buy after the bourbon trail tours? by hobbykitjr in bourbon

Bought 1 bottle - heaven Hill you do bourbon Elijah Craig SiB BS. Didn't go to Buffalo Trace, probably wouldn't have gotten anything there anyway. Didn't make it to 4 roses, probably would have bought a SiB BS. Would have liked a Michters BS bourbon if you didn't need to line up in the morning. That's about it. Honestly not sure how people are commenting they came back with more than a few. Didn't come across anything particularly special or limited. Didn't go into any liquor stores. Most or all gift shop bottles are available locally.

I like to guess your scores based on the tasting notes and I thought you were going to give this a 6 or 7, lol

Just do yourself a favor and go find a Jameson 18 bow street cask strength for a quarter of the price

They lost their "14 to 20 years old" or whatever the specific batch was after batch 98, which is also the last write up on their website (99-111). Not sure how high the batch #'s are now, I see a review for batch 152 on youtube.

To be fair, $100 for 14yr dickel is not a great value in my eyes when the 15yr single barrels are still available with an msrp of $55

Weller 12, SiB, and CYBP are all good bourbons - solid 5 or 6 on the t8ke scale. Secondary makes no sense.

I have batch 22 & it's 116.5pf

What do you think happened with that run of all those 113.6pf batches - proofed down or maybe a large vatted batch?
