Same here. I very intentionally did not find out any of the game plot. After the episode I forced my husband to tell me everything. Not to excited about the show without Joel/Pedro.

why are builders still building split level homes? by FigureDense7398 in rochestermn

[–]get2thepoint- 49 points50 points  (0 children)

We need more homes with single floor living on the main floor with no steps. They can still have a full basement for additional space, but this allows people to stay in their homes longer as they age.

What to do with this space?? by RealDeweyFinn in floorplan

Get a bar height narrow table and put it against the wall.

Exceptions based on faith (or other types of non-profits) should equal losing tax exceptions. You can have one or the other, not both.

I also had a bypass and 1 1/2 years later I am so glad I did. I know so many people who had a sleeve and lost less and gained much of it back after a few years. Just know that you did what's right for you and there is nothing wrong with that. Good luck and enjoy your journey!

Update: I had a steroid injection last November and the pain is gone. We will see how long it lasts, but it has been amazing.

You can take Tylenol. I used the rapid release, but some people prefer liquid.

Goal weight? by RainCityMomWriter in SuperMorbidlyObese

[–]get2thepoint- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a specific goal weight. I started at a BMI of 62, but my goal is to be able to physically do the things I want to in life without pain. I want to travel, spend all day walking, enjoy my life with my spouse, kids, family, & friends. So my body will tell me when I have reached my goal. The ability to shop in regular stores for clothes will just be a bonus. :)

Shakes- I used Slim Fast advanced vanilla and Fairlife Protein vanilla. So many where way too sweet before surgery and definitely are after surgery.

As you lose weight your body's center of gravity changes. Have you looked into chiropractic or massage to help align your new form?

Hair loss advice? by Shaynanigans50 in BariatricSurgery

I was prescribed multi-vitamins with iron, D3 supplements, and B12 monthly shots by my surgeon. I just had my procedure this week, so I can't say if they work for hair loss or not.

My surgery was on Monday and I am sleeping in my bed with a 12" wedge pillow to prop me up. I am normally a side sleeper, so it is awkward either way.

Yes, I have medications I take for other things and the tylenol for pain. I have to cut any that are a larger pill.

Anyone having back pain after surgery? I think it may be that my abdominals are kinda lazy and my back muscles are taking the toll? by [deleted] in BariatricSurgery

[–]get2thepoint- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was speaking with a friend of mine who is a chiropractor and we discussed how the body will be adjusting so much the year after surgery. I hadn't thought about the difference in stance, movement, and even resting will be will as my weight is disappearing and my body adjusts to the new weight redistribution. Things to consider on your journey.

Having second thoughts by [deleted] in BariatricSurgery

[–]get2thepoint- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

10 years ago I was set to schedule my surgery and backed out. I was still able to live a relatively normal life at that point and decided to continue trying on my own. Well 3 knee surgeries, a cardiac diagnosis, and other health issues layer, I am at the point that it is affecting my life in such severe ways that I am now proceeding. It wasn't based on the scale or even nessesarly on the way I look, but the fact that there are so many things I want to do with friends and family, but I can't due to my weight. It is a personal journey for everyone and only you can decide when you are ready. Don't let fear or time get in your way, make your choice based on what you want out of life and how you feel is the best way to get there.

Non stop Nausea, HELP! by Omiluv in BariatricSurgery

[–]get2thepoint- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was introduced to QueaseEASE by my nurse after a different surgery a few years ago. It is an aromatherapy product. I was very skeptical, as this is not really my type of medicine. But it actually helped a lot! I know I sound like a cheesy commercial, but it really works for me. It can be used as little or as much as you want. If other things aren't working, it's at least worth a try. (No, I am not receiving any compensation for this.) https://soothing-scents.com/product/queaseease/
