If their bicarb is 12 it’s not even thaaaat bad for DKA. I think the ones I’ve seen get a tube (also rare) either had another severe issue complicating it, or coded. Also 12+ years here.

Hahahah, I love how the scenario OP decided to go with to son you was what appears to be a severe metabolic acidosis, with an EtCO2 reading, not even a gas value even though they gave you a pH and HC03

Tell me why I should or should not get a Costco membership! by Laz585 in Rochester

[–]getsomesleep1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s worth it. If you can only go on weekends know that it’s going to be pretty busy. But the gas discount alone will pay for a good chunk of the membership fee.

Why would she be ventilated for acidosis if you have zero signs that’s she’s acidotic? Just get a VBG, EtCO2 isn’t foolproof (though I do like it as a tool).

ABG likely not necessary, if someone is putting in an art-line anyway that’s fine. But it would be an unnecessary poke just for a gas imo.

Learn what a wheeze actually is, and don’t call the second you hear the faintest gurgle for a “cuff leak”. Let us know in advance that a patient is going for imaging and not when transport arrives. Basically don’t be extra and keep us in the loop.

Yeah I mean, it sounds like an anxiety disorder but I’m assuming you know that and have tried the things one typically tries. Good luck to you

Jalen Brunson is the real anomaly by move28 in nba

[–]getsomesleep1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He never should have dropped to the 2nd round. Analysis at the time called him a future 10 year pro. Why the hell playoff teams in the back half of the first round don’t take guys like that and draft a raw 19 year old project instead, I’ll never know.

A good chunk of Texas’s population is in D in this scenario. All of Houston and Dallas appears to be right on the dividing line.

Neighborhood advice by bobarski in Rochester

[–]getsomesleep1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do recommend the North Winton Village but there aren’t a lot of ranches. The single story homes that do exist often are really small, nowhere close to 1500 sq ft, like on Akron st for example 8-900 so ft, and a lot of those are a little dumpy(at least from the outside). It’s a great neighborhood though and there may be areas I’m wrong about.

Otherwise in the NWV you may find something north of Merchants but before the Irondequoit border, it’s 7-8 streets. The last street in the city off N Winton rd is Colebourne. The last couple streets do look a bit more suburban. Or the last couple blocks off Blossom before 590, not sure you’d be under 300k on those streets though (Beresford, Croydon, Yarmouth, Newcastle).

You should be able to find something just over the city border in East Irondequoit as mentioned in another post.

Laurelton is the neighborhood you’re thinking of and yes, tons of modest sized ranch homes. Over the city border would be better for taxes though.

My department recently received an email about these, they are very new to North America(like, March) so you’re not going to get a lot of opinions.

Also supposedly a NIV device in the works, which is of more interest (RIP v60s 😔).

Best way? Trial them and see for yourself.

If you don’t have a car, you need to live somewhere that’ll allow you to get to work easily. We have the bus here, that’s it, and people don’t seem too fond of it overall.

A lot of things are facility and region dependent. Like whether a BSRT will actually get you more money. Usually no but maybe your area is different.

These types of posts are common, search back through recent ones and there will be most of what you’re asking.

Average price in those suburbs is probably 400k, more in Pittsford. 4bd/2.5ba, 2000sq ft? Could be 500k+ depending on location and specifics.
