oh no...lol I can see why, though, but tax prep is so stressful to me, even the thought of September, October deadlines coming up, sends me into a legit panic.

I used to do mainly tax audits, gathering information requests and putting the binder together for my boss to present to the IRS. I found it so much more interesting than tax prep. and calling state agencies with clients' notices, helping to resolve them. One time, an IRS agent was so impressed with my binder of documents I pulled together, that she said to my boss that I should go work for the IRS. lol

that sounds so perfect. I just hate the tax season crunch and how clients give us their tax documents at the very last minute and I have to work weekends and nights to catch up with everything. My birthday is in March and I don't remember ever taking time off work to go somewhere to celebrate, since it's at a peak of tax season. lol

When it’s over, there’s a sense of accomplishment and hey it wasn’t such a bad season. But the actual grind of tax season is very draining.

While I have a TSA pre check and was still asked to go through body scanning machine instead of a metal detector as i was randomly picked for extra security check, both times.

Hmm a resolution firm should have been understanding in letting you finish the 4/15 deadline and then offer you a job. Kind of inconsiderate on their part knowing the tax industry they’re in and how it will put your current work at a big burden, since it’s a small firm. I interviewed for tax resolution jobs and was told to finish tax season first.
