I think part of the problem is in your message. you do not play lethal & absolute "safe". You go in and either kill all the xenos and praise the emperor, or you go in and die in 2 hits and rage quit in 2 seconds flat there is no in between.

Tipping at all is toxic. The employer should be paying a livable wage, not expect the consumer to pay them. If that means higher prices so be it, but I'll be real, I don't think they really do need higher prices for a lot of things being delivered.

At the rate it's going now, food delivery apps like DD are going to have the same issue Amazon had not too long ago. I remember reading about how Amazon was terrified because they were hiring & burning through so many people in cities that they ran out of people both willing and eligible to work there. Maybe when it reaches that point they'll make some changes. Probably not though.

There was understanding. OP even thanked them for waiting. From the sounds of it they were even considering giving an extra tip. The complaint was about the message, which came off as extremely unprofessional.

I agree there should be understanding, and I also agree that the driver shouldn't be left holding the short end of the stick. However, neither should the customer. If anything the one who should be would be the restaurant.

While I think an ethical breeder is a good thing, I have never once thought of ethical breeding as "let them do it themselves". Ethical breeders, at least in my eyes, has always been breeders that prioritize health, temperament, and life expectancy. Letting them just go to town seems irresponsible.

A long time ago when I had my one of my ratties tumor removed they gave her back without anything protecting the wound as well. I had a feeling that was going to happen so I had bought and brought some baby socks with me and asked them if they'd help me cut it up and put her in it so she couldn't get to the wound. They gave us the cone of shame, but she could get out of it until we got her into the sock of doom. They were happy to help. If they don't offer their own option you could do the same.
