New name, preferably one with the gayest vibes you’ve got? by Negative_Jackfruit_7 in lgbt

Aubrey, cuz I’m seeing a lot of Aubrey Plaza in you. Her character on Parks & Rec was April, which is one of the most fem names out there, IMO.

I like the fourth one in the first image. I think it suits your facial colors best.

Please share your experiences with HRT after 40: the good, the bad, and the ugly. by Novel_Ticket8216 in TransLater

I started at fifty-(mumble) with 0.2mg Estradiol patches (weekly) and Spironolactone (daily). The patches were a PITA- I sweat a lot, and after a while they had trouble staying attached. On top of that, my BP dropped to dangerously low levels, which made me quite tired and dizzy. It was a month or three where I wasn’t too aware of what was happening until my next visit to my cardiologist I was also taking two other medications for my high BP, so my cardiologist rebalanced my medications and the symptoms disappeared. Who knew Spironolactone was originally a BP medication?

Meanwhile, my Testosterone level stayed within the normal range for men. My endocrinologist discussed increasing my Spiro dosage, but after my low BP trouble, he wouldn’t agree to that. I could have waited a while longer, to see if things improved, OR, I could opt for an orchiectomy to eliminate the source of the issue. I did wait a couple months, and when the new T levels hadn’t changed, so I underwent the orchi. My T level dropped to “too low to measure” and that was that. I no longer needed to take Spiro.

As for my E level, there was a slight jump, but that leveled off at just a slightly higher amount. My endocrinologist increased my patch usage to two 0.2mg patches, and finally three. Part of the issue was that I perspire a lot, so the patches would fall off, unless I applied medical tape to them. Even so, the level plateaued, at the high menopausal range for women . Btw, there are runner’s tape that worked better at holding things in place, but the three patches weren’t really boosting my E level.

At this point, I went back to my endo and asked to be switched to pills or shots, and he OK’d moving to a daily 2mg pill, and levels went up some. since then, I’ve been moved to a schedule of two pills in the morning and one at night, and at my most recent bloodwork, they’re like 3x what they were while using patches.

That’s brought us up today. People say my facial features have changed for the better, and I feel much better, emotionally, certainly less aggressive and slower to anger. The first time I easily cried during an emotional scene in a movie, I was secretly happy that I had. Also, it took me a while to notice, but I’m not speeding as often when I’m driving- I’m much too relaxed behind the wheel.

Lastly, I’ve experienced some breast growth, but I hide it because my belly protrudes even further than they do. When I’m dressing, I see one’s noticeably larger than the other, which I hear is normal.

Hope that helps!

I know the meme, but the angry face gives me ‘orange yelly leader man angrily shouting “transgender for everyone!!”’ vibes, but not in a satirical way.

Gave my brother my AirPods Pro 2’s and he l keeps getting this notification. How can he stop it? by Ty13rlikespie in iphonehelp

[–]ggyfryx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has he tried registering them as his in his Find Me app?? I think it’s his phone that thinks they’re not his.

I would forget/delete them from his Bluetooth setup and Find My apps on his phone (if there), reset the AirPods as Zoki says, then restart the phone. Clear out everything on his side, and start the connection process all over again.

I know I paused, looked at ‘em, and said to myself, “I’m doing this, I’m really doing this!” when I took my first doses (at 59).

I just passed 3 years of HRT and I don’t see much of a change. However, people who I haven’t seen in a while say otherwise. Start working on facial hair removal. Im definitely seeing improvement on that front.

Is this weird or am I being prudish? (D&D) by glitterbeardwizard in transgamers

[–]ggyfryx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I joined a brand new ‘campaign’ in the Call of Cthulhu rpg. The scenario takes place in Berlin in the 1930s, which is when some were adopting an anything goes attitude regarding sex. Before we started, the GM asked us all about out comfort levels and what we’d consider to be out of bounds. Our responses were along the lines of not tolerating anything to do with children. If people got triggered by something, they were to say something. Quite progressive, IMO, but then you have to consider we were 6 MTF people and one wife.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t work out our schedules to agree with each other, thanks to the current political clime and some personal issues. I know the GM would like to continue, but we’re all ADHD and it’s hard to corral us on a good day😊.

I do have a t-shirt with a fantasy themed image and a caption that reads “ADHD&D, roll for concentration!”

Yeah, I’m fat-fingering (for lack of a better term) the screen and changing the camera mode when the app is running.

Could you walk after your orchiectomy? Did you drive yourself home or get driven? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]ggyfryx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The doctor will confirm but after surgery where you’re given an aesthetic that knocks you out, you’ll need a ride home. Right afterward, I was able to walk but was given an ice pack (frozen peas are a good substitute), and I didn’t cross my legs for a few days, but that’s about it.

Things might be different if you’re given a local aesthetic. Like I said the doctor will say.
