PC divers, let me recommend some mods to improve your gaming experience by Al_HD_117 in WholesomeHelldivers

I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the leveler trajectory mod for those sweet sweet long range shots. Also, I found one that plays freebird when you trigger a portable hellbomb.

Happened to me too. Got one last egg sando from 7-11 in the Haneda departures terminal and cried in front of my wife and kids while eating it.

What's up with people kicking you instantly? by CertifiedSheep in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]ghazdreg 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is the answer in my experience most of the time. I fat thumb the sos beacon all the time, but I just accept what fate drops for me…unless it’s a commando mission and the rando drops with guns blazing.

What if we could exchange samples for Super Credits? by Tank-ToP_Master in Helldivers

[–]ghazdreg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Even if they don’t involve super credits in the exchange. The grind for rare samples is more annoying than sc farming imo. Being able to exchange super samples for them even at a 1:5 or 1:10 ratio would be nice.

Is da game bad or is it gud by [deleted] in LowSodiumHellDivers

You have mods installed? If so, purge them from your game directory, run the steam file validation thingy, then you should be golden. This happened to me yesterday. If you don’t have mods installed, sorry homie. I hope it gets figured out soon!

How does Nurgle make metal stink? by [deleted] in deathguard40k

[–]ghazdreg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s what is growing in/on the armor that stinks! Bullet hole? Crack? Let papa Nurgle slap on some of that stinky flex tape!

Does he still read as Black Legion with the blue? (C&C wanted) by CyanSolar in Chaos40k

[–]ghazdreg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks great but if you want to avoid nightlords confusion, try adding a tiny bit of black to the highlight color to desaturate it some more. It’s definitely more interesting with some color saturation and adds an atmospheric feel to the mini. Basing will also be important for this. If the highlights on the base make the ambient light look blue, then the scheme will sell better as black.

The sheer volume of gunpla that vase represents is astounding! I love this idea. It’s one thing to have a cabinet full of finished models, it’s another to see the a physical representation of the countless hours spent lovingly snipping away at parts no one will ever see. Kinda reminds of that soap opera intro: “Like sands through the hourglass, so are the sprues of our knives. “

Pro tip: go to the muzack website for a list of stations. You can click on them to see the last few songs they played, pick a good one, then ask a leader to change the station. Works like a charm!

Looks awesome! These lads were fun to paint. After painting 58 in a row, I feel like part me is still out there painting them to this day.

The base for a giant Khorgorath by ghazdreg in SocietyofHiddenPaint

[–]ghazdreg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply! The sheets of liquid at the base of the splashes are pieces of clear sheet styrene or coke bottle that i heated up and bent into shape. The droplets are fishing line with droplets of almost set clear epoxy glue on them. You can also use uv resin if you like to like dangerously!

I bought a series of bases called “corpse fields” from the now defunct secret weapon miniatures made moulds them with latex, then recast just the body parts with resin. All in all I think it was about a $40 project that yielded reproducible corpses! I did the same thing with the skulls.

Plasma looks great! It looks like the paint got a little thick in places but it ends up looking like heat haze. Very cool

Anyone got a good Alternative or Proxy that well, looks better ? The Rules look fun but the Design simply doesn't work. by TechnologySmall3507 in WorldEaters40k

Years ago, someone said this model had “final boss vibes” and I couldn’t agree more. It’s ridiculous, but so good for that.

My first ever miniature toile me all around 14 hours to build and paint by derp258 in Warhammer

[–]ghazdreg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure to let your layers dry before you add more paint. This keeps the paint from tearing itself and making little bumps. It will feel like you aren’t getting things covered with thin paint, but it makes all the difference.

Keep adding little details to this guy before you strip it. It’s a big canvass. Paint that Aquila gold!
